My food highlight down there was probably a lovely venison dish I had between Pukaki and Queenstown.
Also, worth mentioning, a genuinely pretty great smoked brisket (+cheese & jalapeno) pie.
I mean come on.
At Lake Pukaki in NZ I found the absolute ideal way to enjoy a nerdy beer.
(in this case a spontaneous fermentation barrel aged ale with pinos gris)
