They give us clean air, fresh water & healthy food our families need. Yet they're under threat. We can & must protect our natural world.

Tonight at 8.30pm I’ll be joining with others to support

Catapults are increasingly used to injure & kill wildlife, damage property & intimidate communities.

I support @naturewatch.org calls for:

• 18+ age restriction for purchasing catapults & slingshots
• Sales controls similar to knives & air weapons
• Restrictions on ultra-high-powered devices

The future of Meddygfa’r Sarn GP surgery in Pontyates has been called into question by Hywel’s Dda Health Board’s plans to close it.

It serves 4,000 patients and having a doctor’s surgery in Pontyates really matters.

Hywel Dda need to start genuinely listening to local people’s concerns.

I voted to remove the 2-child limit which will benefit 2,200 children in Llanelli.

Poverty makes it harder for children to get on in life & hurts our economy at a cost of £40bn per year. We must break this cycle for the good of our country.

I've signed the Holocaust Educational Trust (UK) Book of Commitment, to mark #HolocaustMemorialDay later this month.

We all have a responsibility to make sure those horrors are never forgotten & to renew our determination to challenge and stamp out all forms of antisemitism, racism and prejudice.

Violence, threats and abuse against retail workers is completely unacceptable.

I joined campaigners in Tesco, Trostre on Friday to support @usdawunion.bsky.social's call to raise awareness of this deplorable behaviour and give workers the confidence to speak out & report abuse.

Welfare groups welcome news which could see animal tests stopped 2.64 million scientific procedures involving animals took place in 2024 - a 1.2% decrease compared to 2023 which Animal Free Research called “pitiful”.

Many people have written to me with concerns about the use of animals in science.

I’m delighted UK Labour Government will phase out animal tests wherever possible, replacing them with alternatives that still fully protect the safety of patients & the environment.

Today, we remember the sacrifice & service of all those who have defended our country & our freedom.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.
