anyway i started collecting records again (and picked up a cd player!). it’s been a little bit of solace in an increasingly online and broken world.

i don’t want my media locked behind a streaming service that can remove (or worse, change) shows or songs at will. every seemingly-good home invention we’ve come up with in the last 20+ years has been poisoned by greedy tech companies. it sucks.

the longer i work in tech, the more disillusioned i become about technology. no, i really don’t want my fridge or my tv to be connected to the internet. i don’t want my speakers or a doorbell to spy on me.

unironically a beautiful and effective way to keep grifters out. if you get filtered by an anime catgirl popping up for 2 seconds because it's too cringe and gay for you was your heart really in the systems programming?
