On day 2 of the AFL Draft, the Brisbane Lions selected their Academy player, Ty Gallop (194cm key forward) with pick 42 after matching a bid from Geelong.
In the Pre-Season Draft, the Lions selected former GC Suns forward - Sam Day and re-listed Darragh Joyce and Darcy Craven in the Rookie Draft.
