Rescinding civil rights agreements could send a message to students that there’s no point in filing a complaint, advocates and legal experts said.
Yes indeed
...read their material again, I was surprised to find a clear political analysis in the writings of the White Rose. Their leaflets repeatedly underscored the issue which was to be decisive in delaying the downfall of Hitler's Reich--Nazi anti-Communism. Along with anti-Semitism, to which it was linked in many ways, anti-Communism was the most virulent force in the Nazi ideology. Millions of "good" Germans did not like the Nazis, yet thought that they were the lesser evil compared with Communists. These good middle-class Germans, persuaded, by 1933, of the threat of Communism, voted for Hitler, thereby bringing him to power via legal and democratic channels. The conservative Christian parties smoothed Hitler's path to power. Ten years later, Germany was a hotbed of robbers and rapists who waged war against all of Europe, while specifically targeting Eastern Europe for their more gruesome atrocities. The White Rose clearly and justly stated that "the first concern for any German should not be the military victory... From: The White Rose: Music 1942-1943" by Inge Scholl, sister of Hans and Sophie Sholl. In 1942, Hans and Sophie Scholl led a small underground organization of German students and professors to oppose the atrocities committed by Hitler and the Nazi Party. There is an audio edition, narrated by Heather Henderson, Eoardo Ballerini, Elizabeth Wiley, Josh Bloomberg and more...
From Inge Scholl's memoir, "The White Rose":

“I want to highlight the intelligence of bees. Most people think insects are just little robots executing repetitive tasks but when you see the incredible ways they communicate and interact with the world, your mind will be blown.”

For far too long, we humans have viewed ourselves as apart from the animal world. Which is why we published Belinda Recio's audiobooks, "Inside Animal Hearts and Minds" and "When Animals Rescue." Read by Hayden Panettiere (a big animal advocate herself).

Proof listening matters! It's an underrated part of the whole process of producing audiobooks!
That said, we have had our fails, too. But we also went to great lengths to re-record a book that had some complaints regarding the pronunciation of foreign words.
The Senate vote to destroy America’s most visited wilderness could happen with 24 hours’ notice and the deadline runs out at the end of April.
Hayden Panettiere narrated Belinda Recio's books and did a FANTASTIC job. I was honoured to work with her. She wanted to be sure that her narration would keep the attention of her daughter, then just 4 years old. She nailed it. Both adults and kids LOVE her narration.

When I was young, if one suggested that animals could do half the things they are capable of, one was accused of "anthropomorphism." Turns out, "anthropomorphism" is really just another term for "human arrogance."
