I'm proven privileged, yet again, and I should be thankful for that. Instead, frustrated that others continue to be denied what should be a human right.

If you have an itemized bill, dispute the charges and tell the company you cannot pay that amount+negotiate a lower bill: if you don't have private insurance or medicare. If you do have those, they are required to pay. Usually you only have to pay your deductible

It is a good idea! I won't intrude on your blog by sending comment letters: so that you can keep it a quiet place, unless you prefer it. Though, as long as you're comfortable with it, I'll read it occasionally; it seems like fun practice.
