Dear Amazon: Why on Earth would it take you up to a month to export my Goodreads library and reading history?
"We've received and are processing your request to access your personal data.
We will provide your information to you as soon as we can. Usually, this should take no more than a month."
I’m looking at you [all the companies]
I think "morg" should enter the lexicon like "slop" has. I suspect we'll see a lot more of it over time. Working definition:
morg (verb): to produce a poor facsimile of original work that loses intent, meaning, or correctness
I’m celebrating the New Moon/Solar Eclipse/Fire Horse moment by going to a talk that may help with pushing onward into a new future.
“This talk won’t deny the present-day metacrisis, but will situate our current moment within the long upward arc of human advancement.”

it’s important to keep caring about how things work and how they’re built
A screenshot of two Bluesky posts referring to the Microsoft Git training documentation blunder where AI completely mangled the text of a diagram and now we have a new meme. “Continvouclous Morging”

Thrilled to see that my project, Baseline Status for Video, is among the winners of the Baseline Tooling Hackathon. 🤩
I must admit I think that’s what happened in my occasionally scrambled brain. A sign to slow down! 🙂
Zoran! I’m sorry for the random typo! Not sure how that happened with the J and Z so far apart.
Congratulations, @cssweekly.com / Joran, on the launch of aideveloperweekly.com! 👏 Very excited to see the first of many issues in my inbox.
I don’t like this new CDC
Casually listening to Buzzcocks ‘A Different Kind of Tension’ for first time in eons. “I Believe” just came on and I’m wildly and ecstatically transported back to my misspent youth in NYC. What a crucial track.
I’m rewatching first season of Andor before I watch second season. S1:E3 has to be some of the best Star Wars there is. The episode opens a door that leads eventually—through so much mythology—to the destruction of the Death Star; the story’s urgency propels you with such force it’s just incredible.
I wish all people in control of corporations and governments felt it was imperative to take better care of the Earth.
There is no alternative planet for human life.
And basic survival aside, why continue to prioritize profits over a natural world that is so magical and unique?
But first can they make autocorrect work?

But we think there are still many missing. We'd love for you to add yourself. It's a wonderful way to connect and start new meetups and collaborations.
What’s the plan to push back on this?

This post makes me feel the same way I did when I got a New Year’s card from Nancy Pelosi on February 5th.
