Finished my voice booth build this week! Going from the closet to a PVC/Blanket design that's sized to my plans for a genuine soundproof room to get a feel for being in it. So happy to have a dedicated space!

And then the opposite YouTube video has a teeny tiny bowl for every single measurement of ingredient, from a teaspoon of vinegar to a dash of salt

Heck yeah good stuff!

It's sad to see because these projects are how a lot of voices get their start. Devs also lose out on making any real-world connections when choosing a faceless robot voice. Even then, it's very unlikely that AI voices will even be affordable long-term.

Honestly a loss for all parties.

There's something to be said about a recipe that uses the whole container of all ingredients. The whole can, the entire package, a complete bottle - no half-used components to seal up and tuck into the fridge later (to forget and let go bad)

I'd say that one causes the other - Caine was created with a specific purpose and he's come to find that his purpose isn't appreciated, even hated. His very existence isn't wanted by the cast most of the time. That's mentally damaging. This put Caine on the fast track to crashing out.

I have changed my work phone ringtone to a very loud, very noticeable (and very romantic) Spanish guitar jingle that was already pre-installed

This is the single greatest improvement I have made here to date

There's this solitary and absent feeling when parting ways with a community you've spent countless hours in. Part of you itches to return for familiarity, yet part of you sees the opportunity of a new chapter created by closing the old.

Just dug up old roots to take a big step!

Had a great weekend over at #GalaxyConColumbus attending wonderful panels from Star Trek: TNG cast, Adult Swim creators, Video Game voice actors, and so many more! So many booths! Always an inspiring and insightful weekend. Need to figure out a cosplay

Started watching a Ping Pong anime of all things last night because my wife told me it's pretty good. And you know what? It's pretty good!
