Democrats ducked during the Iraq War that and was popular at the time. No excuse here when going to war in the Middle East is widely unpopular.

Idiocracy undersold it
The Congressional Review Act is finally going to get extensively litigated in terms of what it actually does and means.
Also just get rid of the filibuster already.

45% approve = not everyone has 401ks.
"The president’s pursuit of widespread tariffs — which has caused stock-market drops and gyrations — was opposed by 55 percent of voters, including 63 percent of independents."

How many in the Trump Administration shorted their stocks last week?
They would have just made $10,000+ in 1 week for every $100,000 in shares they hold.
I guess what I am getting at us while Democrats will attack Trump based on "what he is doing to your retirement savings," we might still not be talking to a governing majority.
Now they'll feel it from layoffs and minimal hiring as well as cut backs in government services as budgets for government start to tank with the economy, but it's no guarantee that they will blame Trump for it.
Some unsettling information, but only about 1/3 of working adults even have a 401k, the same ratio for college degrees.
My main worry is while everyone is predicting the demise of Trump based on the stock market crashing, most of his voters aren't even impacted because most don't even have 401ks.

For every $100,000 saved in retirement, Trump's tariff policy literally took $5,000 out of it in 1 day. Probably $10,000 to $15,000 out of it by opening bell Monday. It will take years to recover that after this President is gone.
Even Nintendo Switch 2 is impacted by Trump's tariffs. The President probably eliminated their ability to lower the price from $450 now too.
How out of touch is Speaker Johnson to think he'll win against a new parent who wants some time with their infant. I mean we'd literally kill to protect our kids.

STUNNING: After turning the entire SSA upside over this Elon Threat Email, an email was just sent out within the hour basically saying 'nevermind'.
"Pursuant to updated OPM guidance, responses to the email from sender “HR” dated Saturday, February 22, are voluntary."
The number of hours Elon's randomness is burning of federal workers' time has got to be one of the biggest waste of taxpayer money.
Instead of working, they are being whipsawwed from the contradictory orders from their government leaders.

I remember when conservatives argued the President couldn't interfere with independent agencies because of the courts.
Here’s a case that progressives broke progressive governance with too much regulation.

Trump's idea on Gaza is so bad that it reminds us all that he is surrounded by a bunch of "yes" people who are too scared to tell him it's a stupid idea. U.S. troops in the Middle East has never worked out for our country and results in a ton of wasted money and dead soldiers.
We've heard reports of Elon's crew barging into areas they shouldn’t be.

Democratic leadership still hasn't said anything to pin the chaos and incompetence on Trump. Meanwhile Trump gets it and frames the debate asap.
www.nytimes.com/2025/01/30/u...
I'm begging Democrats to try, the media is doing your job of pointing out how the chaos and incompetence is costing lives, but I have not read a single post or take from a Democratic leader connecting these dots while I've seen a ton of GOP responses.
www.msn.com/en-xl/news/o...
If Democrats had any killer instinct in them they would connect this immediately with the chaos and blame Trump for it.
But I get the feeling some Democratic staffers and strategist are weighing if that's "unfair" or "too reactionary" etc as opposed to whether they want to win elections.
Turns out you need federal government workers.
