There are a lot of things I like about my job but I frequently (like now) feel so threadbare that I don’t feel capable of doing it in a way that won’t hollow me out completely. And this is a 9-5. It sounds so so difficult to not even have “off the clock” time in a traditional academic role.

I’d say it’s a little silly politically, but it’s a really fun alt-history sci-fi. The main premise is that the Soviets got to the moon first, so America is playing catchup with its space exploration. It’s a huge cast, so if anyone bugs you, someone else will show up soon enough

The building, which opened earlier this year, was evacuated on Nov. 12 after what a 911 dispatch described as a “sound of an explosion.” Alpha Chief Tony Berrena told StateCollege.com partner publication Onward State that crews observed a crack in the wall of the building from the second floor to the roof and that the floor had settled about 2 inches.
