Yvaíne has not returned to Spillwood since the village excommunicated him as a child. But when he finds one last opportunity to rescue his twin sibling from being sacrificed to the vampire lord in the old wood, he goes back a final time. But it's not the old lord waiting for him--a vampire knight has arrived in Spillwood, and is demanding a tithe be sent to the capital, Hollowsorn, to dream-walk the Evensong and learn his secrets. Yvaíne will do anything to protect his sibling, including take their place as the human tithe-even if it means having to revisit the cursed magic that once lost him everything.
