The McKeen mobile
As you see here we have two wild Southern Pacific Harriman consolidations frolicking through spring
Quite the interesting creatures lol
Missouri-Kansas-Texas steam in color! From Glory Machines Volume 1
•H-3d Pacific Lima 1923 with a passenger train.
•L-1a Mikado 708 Alco 1913 in the 1920s M-K-T scheme.
•L-2d Mikado 885 Lima 1923
•H-3a Pacific 378 Alco 1915, the first H-3a Pacific with Baker valve gear on a passenger train.
Yes but thankfully the locomotive came with spares.
As if the bulb on one of 382's marker lights snapping wasn't bad enough now I lost one of them.
FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
Meaning once I disassemble 382, it will run with blind marker lights like on the Hallmark brass H-3a Pacifics.
A heavy price for moving the marker lights up and finishing this.
When a LEGACY F unit set is more expensive than two giant VISION LINE steam locomotive sets, THAT IS A PROBLEM.
How has Lionel not once thought about lowering the prices because if this is their current mo, they are doomed in the long run.
If high prices killed American Flyer, Lionchief is next.
They made some nice stuff in the 2000s and 2010s to be fair. Only problem was the prices, and some things are especially hard to find second hand.
Everything after 2020 is where things got bad for modern Lionel, THAT was when prices got horrifyingly brutal.
I saw a new santa fe set going for $5k😨
Everything modern that's good
Literally anything second hand, especially their 2000s to 2010s O-3 and O-36 rolling stock.
They used to make some RAD rolling stock, here's some of my favorites!
Now, all their new O-31 and O-36 cars are so expensive a single one will bankrupt you💀
The ai is so shit, it made the engine a 2-8-4 then an 0-8-4 and then a 2-6-4🥀
This is THE definition of ai slop
For me it's second hand all the way
MPC Lionel to 2022 (with some Lionel American Flyer S 2000s-2022)
American Flyer S

MTH Premier and railking

I might consider getting second hand weaver or pecos river stuff in the future
Man
The downfall of Lionel needs to be studied
WHAT IS THISðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Two things I have learned today
1. Chicago Burlington & Quincy 9908 lasted in service until 1966
2. 4960 looks amazing with white walls
Based
HOLY SHIT🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
M-K-T
M-K-T
M-K-T
Apparently Washington & Lincoln 203 is back running
I love her!
Lindy looks so pretty with the white walls they gave her!🥹
The whistle she's currently wearing sounds like one of the 3 chimes from dollywood.
I saw Lionel's ai on Facebook
I got more horrified than markiplier witnessing the bite of 87
Reject modernity
Embrace the second hand market
Lionel is making ai videos of their christmas lionchief train set.
Modern Lionel is officially the coca-cola of o gauge
Chang my mind
Fun fact
The Missouri Kansas Texas had G.A.R.X. 36ft wood reefers
Chicago Burlington & Quincy 4-6-2 Pacific 2830 with bi-level cars on a commuter train at the Downers Grove coach yard in Illinois in the year 1952.
So just like the C&NW, CB&Q light pacifics pulled bi-level cars.
conrail
penn central
The Katy's patch jobs on former conrail penn central and Illinois Central Gulf geeps
One conrail was more than enough
Did you save the link?
Now I'm really curious
I KNEW IT
The H-3 Pacifics wore 3 chime whistles!
And wait...6 pipes?
Does that mean they put a 6 chime on this H-3c???
(404 is an H-3c built by Lima in 1920)
1. How and where did you even find this?
2. Who puts a metal slab on the front of an H-3 Pacific? Best guess it was a former pennsylvania railroad employee
3. Is that "Amplifier" basically an air horn?
This is an L-2 class Mikado
Biggest Mikados on the Katy and the largest freight engines on the entire railroad
aside from the slightly smaller L-1 Mikados and H-3 Pacifics that could be seen in rare photos hauling mixed trains in their final years
In the business we call this "foreshadowing"
OH!
No wonder the art style looked so familiar.
He made some really awesome paintings.
I love this style of railroad artwork!
Reminds me of this awesome railroad artwork made by John Winfield
