You should discuss this on Smartypants. The great debate of our time.

@samreich.bsky.social, I loved the dig at all the other streaming services, but jokes on you: I cancelled my Netflix subscription!
Also, really love that you’re taking care of your people. Really nice to know my money is being spent well.
I don’t care what everyone says. dropout.tv is great.
So I just cancelled my Spotify subscription over their continued support of folks who support autocracy in the US, and if this isn’t the creepiest and most manipulative response to a cancellation I’ve ever seen. If a man said this to a woman who was breaking up with him, we’d freak the fuck out.
When does volume 2 come out and what does it cover?
“Oh look. The consequences of my actions. Those aren’t supposed to exist.” - Bonesy, probably
This game can’t come out soon enough. 🩷🤍🩵
Yeah, that’s what I want to do but it’s easier while already there and, if I’m not approved to stay, I get sent back and possibly detained at the border. It’s the same for a lot of people.
Unfortunately, a lot of people who’d like to go visit wouldn’t be able to return safely because they’re trans. I’m one of them.
It’s damned if I do, damned if I don’t. If I stay in the US, I’m fucked when they finally come for us. If I leave and don’t get approved to stay, I’m fucked on return.
Sorry, could you repeat that? I couldn’t hear over the buzzing in my ears.
Not gonna lie - I’m super pumped for Ghost of Yotei. I loved the first game and this follow-up seems so awesome.
*bing*
“Always one more than you have eaten thus far.”
Okay, true. I played 2 before Van Buren was announced and definitely prefer it to any of the new games. I will say that 3 wasn’t as bad as 4 though, since 4 had little roleplaying, dumbed down combat, and way to many fetch quests.
New Vegas was one of a kind. An improvement from 3 and a huge step up from 4 in terms of roleplaying and world building.
Yes! 😍🤩
Oh my god! A corgi. Cute and thematically appropriate!
The movie ends with three old stoners showing up late to the meeting party and tossing their ‘incense’ at on the fire.
It’s actually a horror comedy.
You thought Mrs O’Leary,s cow was bad? Meet Mary’s donkey…
JESUS CHRIST! That little drummer boy is using torches instead of sticks!
‘Next time, they’ll make sure they have room in the inn for everybody…
Welp, I know what I’m going to be watching. 🙃😍
You know, since the election, I’ve spent a lot of time questioning whether the US should even stay together. Like, if we truly disagree on so much, why not let individual states leave? Let the former red states learn to pay for their own stuff, and the former blue states have universal healthcare.
What about a fist bump?
So fucking terrified.
I’m gone if they hadn’t created the factions and their HQs as MMO factions and hangout places, and instead made them feel more fleshed out. Also, imagine if the Mourn Watch and the Lords of Fortune had real, meaningful connections to the story and the faction outfits were subtler.
And, you know, not created it purely as a starting point for a new series instead of a self-contained story.
I liked the game for what it was, but I missed what it could have been. Just like Andromeda, which would have been really good if they’d not forced it out too soon and then cut and run as soon as it didn’t do well.
The skeleton of an good game is there locked up in a story that skipped its first two acts in favor of an opening mission, told most of its story in comics and books, turned stand-ins for multiplayer friends into full companions, and made all of it shallow.
So true. Nearly all of the issues with The Veilguard can be tied to them cancelling the original plan for a live service game nobody wanted, and then giving up on that when the live service bubble started to pop but not
giving them the resources and time to make the game right.
The terrifying thing is how many people either don’t care about or support the terrible things that Trump and his cronies have done in one week.
That old poem is definitely coming to pass.
