A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are playing a board game with Blue's little brother. All three are studying the board keenly. Blue: If I go forward, I'll step into a trap. Blue continues studying the board as his little brother picks up another card. Blue: If I go back, I'll take the penalty. Blue frowns in frustration. Blue: Every time I move I take 5 damage. Blue and little blue look at Green, who is still studying the board. Green: And every time we kiss I swear I could fly.
Quoted for fuckin' truth.

As the husband of an Iranian woman, as an American, and as a human being, I’m honestly not sure how much more of this I can stand.
Okay, so the funny thing is that coffins and tunnels are often this shape for the same reason - your feet and legs are narrower than your shoulders.
The undertaker doesn't want to waste any more wood than he needs, the miner doesn't want to dig more rock.
Do you know what the French would do if they had a leader saying something like this, today? They would stop the trains. They would stop the airports. They would stop the highways. They would grind their country to a halt. They would not wait until it was a nice Saturday and make funny signs.
Republicans in the House and Senate: impeach and convict and remove this deranged man.
You have blood on your hands already and you are about to have a lot more. Trump is destroying this country and he’s not stopping there.
You cowards. You worthless power-hungry cowards.

NASA employee: oh hey you guys are back early.

A high-resolution light pen system for the IBM PC - A full length CGA card at the bottom sitting on a workbench. A splitter cable runs out to a makeshift "Sync" cable that attaches to a berg header on the PXL-350 half-length ISA card. A separate header connects to an RJ-11 jack, where an aluminum light pen has been connected.
This is a complete high-resolution light pen interface for the original IBM PC.

An image of a 3.5" floppy disk. Underneath it are the words: "Ceci n'est pas une icône de sauvegarde." in French. In the bottom corner, it says "FloppyGuy"

I was asked to give my thoughts on generative AI usage in games - here they are!
"What did he say?"
"He said the lord only speaks through big naturals."

“All right,” she said, and looked at me for what objectively I knew was 2.4 seconds and subjectively about twenty excruciating minutes.
Here's your first sneak peek at #RadioArctica!
The dialogue is a placeholder, but the UI is real.
- No, it's not a mobile game — you will be able to play it on PC, Mac, and iPhone.
- Yes, it's narrative driven adventure with roguelike elements and resource management.

The Trump administration will pay $1 billion to French energy firm TotalEnergies to stop developing two offshore wind farms off the East Coast.
The company will instead invest in a liquefied natural gas facility in Texas. https://wapo.st/4brURf9

Old USENET post showing someone posting a BINHEX-encoded hypercard stack - infected with the Wormcode virus.
Not well known, but after Hypercard was released for Macs, people made viruses for it. One such was "Wormcode", but no sample could be found.
However, Wikipedia says:
Originally posted to the usenet group comp.sys.mac.hypercard" in a stack called "Font Preview".
And what do you know.

Image of an early public demonstration of the telephone, captioned "new phone, who dis?"
It's the 150th anniversary of the first telephone call, and who can forget Alexander Graham Bell's first, immortal words?
One of the now famous images of British servicemen manning a naval gun at Shoremead whilst wearing full pantomime drag. It's usually claimed to be an image that was banned by the government or somesuch nonsense, but there's actually a rich vein of propaganda photographs of servicemen carrying on with normal, humorous life in the middle of a war. That the Nazis were understood to be dead against this sort of stuff only added to its value.
So whilst the self-reported big manly men are accidentally closing a narrow shipping channel by having a big manly war and shouting big manly war things, a reminder of that time a bunch of lads who were much secure in their gender did it deliberately.
Two things kept me going through the long dark night that I spent watching over my dying grandmother. The example of Granny Weatherwax, who provided a much-needed guide in uncertain times, and my battered copy of Going Postal.
A man's not dead while his name is still spoken.
