It’s money. Other countries have given young children COVID vaccines

And by the 3rd season of Morning Wars/Morning Show, no more C19 mentions

Ann Tyler, Elizabeth Strout and Roddy Doyle have all written novels about the C19 emergency phase

Yes, and you see people strolling past the COVID memorial wall in London dramas as a silent backdrop to an unacknowledged huge loss of life

Sometimes COViD is mentioned- it was in Riot Women. It’s a key plot point in The Pitt. And featured throughout the 2nd season of Morning Wars. I also keep a close eye on C19 and literary fiction

The idea that people who take significant Covid precautions must be introverts is offensive as hell.
It’s ableist as hell. Performers, Organizers, the biggest extroverts in the world were forced to give up careers because other people wouldn’t mask. We do it because we still can’t afford COVID.

This is true. No one wants to admit COVID still exists or ever existed. Quite incredible. Where are the huge conferences dedicated to COVID, like there still is for HIV?

Maybe if they thought about it, this person may have enjoyed avoiding illness or death from
COVID? Funny how the very real reason for the isolation orders is totally ignored

Consider signing this open letter. We must fight against the auto-destruction of the university as an institution where skills essential to democracy are being learned and practiced: reading, interpreting, writing, formulating research questions that go beyond the normative rationality of LLMs

I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer when she was 48.

She lost her Mom (my grandmother) at 53.

It’s a devastating disease that’s almost always diagnosed too late.

Screening tools are woefully inadequate, so I can’t even go for regular testing to rule it out.

This news gives me so much hope.

Students "deserve curricula that recognize the full scope of their humanity, outside of their roles as consumers and users of technology, and they deserve an education that allows them to explore the myriad ways their lives and choices are connected to others"

The GBD said “natural immunity” would end the pandemic in 3-6 months.

That didn’t happen.

That’s literally all you need to know.

Scrub nurse kept walking in and out of theatre unmasked (as is everyone else here) coughing his lungs up.

I eventually couldn't stand it any more and asked him to put a mask on.

He'll be upset with me for the rest of the day.

The next leap forward: Clean air for Canadians “Weak productivity is making life less affordable for Canadians and beginning to strain our government’s finances and starting to put at risk the social programs on which Canadians rely,” Prime Minist...

Any push to increase school attendance has to deal with the fact that schools are where sickness spreads - and it doesn't stay there. Forcing sick kids to go anyway will make that even worse.

If they're serious, start by cleaning the air. Attendance and learning will improve as kids get healthier.

Lack of masking in hospitals is a public health disaster- so many people pick up airborne infections when hospitalised for other reasons. Some die of it

If you read my previous posts, you will see that I criticise many leaders and celebrities who don’t use their influence to be role models to protect vulnerable people. Including Queen Mary of Denmark when she visited the same hospital a few weeks ago. It’s not personal

There are signs in this hospital asking people to mask. And yes, I still do mask when indoors sharing air with people, as I am well aware of the health impacts of COVID and up to date with the medical science
