I love learning new things, I find it exciting lol.

I accidentally ended up on a livestream that got into my YouTube recommendations and several hours (and multiple tornadoes) later I was hooked on radar 🤣🤣🤣 That’s why I like Max Velocity over other streamers, I feel like I’m learning when he’s on!

Random person on Threads: How am I supposed to know if a storm is bad enough for a tornado?
Me, with ADHD: LET ME INFO DUMP EVERYTHING I RECENTLY LEARNED ABOUT RADAR PRESENTATION ON YOU!!!
I knew I took these screenshots for a reason 😅
I’m guessing he thinks all you need to do is throw money around? Or he’s too scared to say anything without having it approved by the White House first lol.
Polls still a bit too close when he should be losing by a country mile!
Meese filed loads of amicus briefs in Trump’s cases, so I’d say that’s a good bet lol
There are exactly 30 days until this primary. Gallrein hasn’t turned up to any debates, forums, or town halls. He’s ignored questions from the press, both in person and in writing. I find that disrespectful — he wants people to vote for him yet won’t even answer their questions?
Photo from candidate forum, showing a name card for Gallrein and the empty chair he should have occupied. Massie is smiling, as well he should!
There was a candidate forum yesterday for Massie’s primary. His opponent didn’t turn up (as usual) and was instead represented by an empty chair 🤣

Wow. The NYT has obtained internal memos that show the birth of the shadow docket.
When you read about how the justices responded to Obama’s use of executive power, compare it to how they’ve responded recently, when there’s a lunatic in the Oval Office.

Look at this rapidly rotating wall cloud (Janesville, Wisconsin). It’s insane!!
Stay safe everyone

Practically every storm is rotating right now and there have already been *a lot* of tornadoes.

Max tweet: TORNADO IN PROGRESS near Waumandee, Wisconsin! Seek shelter immediately if you are in this warning!
This tornado warning has just been upgraded to a Particularly Dangerous Situation. Max called it as PDS about five minutes before the warning was amended so if you’re in one of the affected areas today, you’ll probably get your information quicker if you keep an eye on his stream.
“Gallrein’s only political experience is a failed run for state senate. He’s managed his campaign by avoiding any possibility of getting crossways with [Trump] — turning down invitations for debates & sending surrogates to events that require him to answer either reporters’ or voters’ questions.”
“Whatever you think of Massie’s libertarian-leaning conservative politics, his defeat would send a chill through Congress. He’s one of the few Republican members who has taken his oath of office seriously — the part that says they will “uphold and defend the Constitution”

Just to clarify, there are times when voting ‘present’ might be the right thing to do, or at least non-controversial.
This was not one of them.
Andrew Solender tweet: NEW: Iran war powers resolution fails in House vote, 213 to 214 Democratic Rep. Jared Golden voted w/ the GOP against the measure, while Republican Rep. Thomas Massie voted with Dems for it. GOP Rep. Warren Davidson, who previously voted yes on it, voted "present" this time.
Voting ‘present’ is a cowardly act.
Turns out only one House Republican has read the Constitution. No prizes for guessing who.
Finally, and I cannot emphasize this enough, WTAF Rep. Golden?!?
It’s also taken a deviant turn, heading north-northwest. Not the usual direction for a tornado.

Tornado on the ground in Clinton, Missouri.
Crazy debris signature. This looks really bad.
I was probably so eager to reply that I clicked the wrong one 😂
Wait, why did my reply to this post appear under your earlier post!? Never seen that before!
Primary calendars differ so widely, it’s crazy! Mid August seems super late to me.
Seriously. How do these people get elected!?
Pablo Reports: “…anything new on the Epstein files?”
Thomas Massie: “Well nothing’s gonna change with Todd Blanche in charge…the difference is, now he’s legally accountable for complying instead of just being the guy doing the work.”
He mentions the missing 302s etc.
😂
(Also, I undoubtedly have vast differences of opinion with this guy from the Nat. Assoc. for Gun Rights. But he used his opening remarks to give a forceful statement about the Admin’s rhetoric after Alex Pretti was murdered and how it was “an attack on the entire architecture of American liberty”).
WTAF, sit down you hack. What a pathetic attempt at a gotcha. Sorry the Constitution is so inconvenient for you.

Thomas Massie during the hearing
Then he implied that Massie and Vladeck (they both appeared as witnesses) were on the side of the Ayatollah, because Massie hadn’t mentioned Iran when he testified about historically tyrannical regimes, and Vladeck correctly stated that the Declare War Clause is found in Article I!

Steve Vladeck during the hearing
No, idiot, some of us — including Steve Vladeck — actually have principles! We call out both sides when they start wars in brazen violation of the Constitution!

Ron Johnson during the hearing
This man is a disingenuous asshole.
At today’s Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, he started pressing Steve Vladeck on war powers, as if Vladeck was fine with violating the Constitution if a Democrat was in office.
