me and @everydayfoxlife.bsky.social have been ending each night with one AT Arkveld battle. And today, after much build planning and a little luck, we got our A Rank

A picture of chocolate cake and a latte. The latte art depicts two cats smiling at each other. It is masterfully executed
recently took a lil vacay to the mountains and forget the scenery I need yall to see this latte art
I would describe it like a rustic espresso. Sugar and herbs are added when it’s brewing, and I went with cinnamon. But the fine coffee grinds are actually in the bottom of the cup so there’s a tempting sludge at the bottom.
got Turkish coffee and helped @everydayfoxlife.bsky.social with her herb factory today
The least-hunted monster got a souped up version complete with lil hat reward
AT Arkveld is a very tough and fun fight with a great battle theme and armor set
You can fight your way through a room of slimes and bring a little one home with you
Disco ball Afro for your cat
this was the best weekend in MH Wilds in a while.
don’t talk to me until I’ve had my
boy, having never played either I’d be very curious to get your take on what the hell the story is just from what you saw haha
nah man no such luck 😔
since it’s how I spent about 99.99% of my time playing the game, it was easily the most meaningful 😔
BB’s theme also good, I guess lol
the Death Stranding concert was great. There was a whole song and video sequence for driving the various vehicles and I’m not even joking
haha thanks man! I’ll try to be on more when a game really grabs me. And yea, RIP Big Words—it was fun but I flaked out too much on poor Thomas 😭
Strap on your climbing gear and watch out for vertigo as we scale the dizzying heights of Cairn and plumb the stereoscopic depths of the Virtual Boy. Plus news! 8-4.jp/podcasts/202...
Also there is a cute robot and chill cooking in your tent
this is the kind of game where you will remember exactly where you found a thermos, an invaluable survival item. you will start the game being like “yea, climbing, whatever”, then you will itch deeply to climb. Then you will hate it. Then you will transcend thoughts and feelings and become climb
I am breaking my months-long skeet silence to tell you that Cairn is a very good game and you should play it
everything seems to get worse but at least we have snow #hourlycomicday2026
I would see 100 Mario games cancelled for this to happen
(spending 9 billion dollars to make a robot say "i have always loved you") hard times create strong men
four kale plants growing in recycled cans
a row of plants growing in recycled cans: komatsuna, arugula, dill, lemon balm, basil
a container full of pet bottles growing carrots
a 2L pet bottles on its side with radishes growing out of it
for the past few months i‘ve been building and growing a little trash garden. i figure i’m gonna start sharing plant updates since it’s been pretty rewarding
I am the one who drinks most of the cans so I’m a big help 😏
I literally learned about his death and came here to see how you were doing, RIP to a real one
Tweet from Roy Blakely (aka @Kotowari) saying “happy spooky october! here is my new fav music video by a korean girl band with a nod zombie apocalypse going on”. Included is a YouTube link to the Twice music video for Like Ooh Ahh.
It’s been 8 years since @kotowari.bsky.social posted this tweet and forever changed the trajectory of my life (and no, I’m not exaggerating).
damn and that video still slaps
wah, didn’t realize you were on here!
Right back at you, birthday buddy! Hope you have a good one
I feel ya, something like a Valheim approach to Monster Hunter would be very interesting. More of a sandbox gear progression rather than the on rails story of fighting the guy on the cover. It should be worth a try at least. Capcom sometimes swings wide and that’s refreshing (seems like Exo is that)
I have seen the team try to evolve based on player feedback and that is not easy to do with such a massive game like this. And there is a LOT of feedback.
So, I’d say yea good game just some troubles they are trying to figure out. You will absolutely get your money’s worth just be a little baffled
that said I think it has one of the better stories. It’s not Shakespeare but it at least is more than the typical “we must heal nature by killing nature” trope. A good cast of characters helps a lot.
It goes without saying that menus are a nightmare. Online play resembling what a modern gamer is used to requires opting into 2-3 different party settings that are not really explained well.
MH is at its best when there is some kind of fair friction preventing you from getting the bobble you want. You talk to other hunters, lurk on boards, find out what works and try it. This feels good but there is almost no need to do this now save for timed challenge quests
