March Games Couple of completions, some pickups and a decent amount played. Also started two games from my planned list for the year that I subsequently abandoned. At least I tried. Games completed this month Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Finally remembered to play during March and caught a spider crab. That's the museum completed and all of the posters, so we'll call that another completion for the game.

I think Keir Starmer should have more to say about the President of the United States threatening to kill an entire civilisation than a musical festival cancelling itself coz of a fucking dogshit booking.

Imagine being a moderate Republican and getting outflanked on decency, morality, and basic humanity by these four nutters

An Explanation (Which I Would Be Very Grateful If You Took The Time To Read) What follows is a minor modern horror story.

THREAD.
Substack is evil. I can't emphasise this enough. Their line that anyone can leave easily & take their subscriber list with them is bullshit. I left & it cost me a large sum of money. It forced me briefly back onto Substack to try to clear up the mess... tomcox.substack.com/p/an-explana...

I do have a couple of those Dreamcast sticks but they're in need of some TLC. I see we both have that Saturn stick though, that's a nice one. 👍🏼

Thanks, I'm a simple man and you'll see it's an inverse of what I did with the PS4 Venom stick for SF5.
I built an arcade cab a few years ago, but it's just based on a raspberry pi 5. When we move I'm going to do one with a pc inside for the more modern shmups and fighters. 😁

All mine are currently in storage 🙄 also depends what I'm playing on though. The ugly one at the end is just for specific games, 4 way stick, spinner and pinball buttons on the sides.

Pilgrim
I literally never read a prologue on principle alone. If it's that important, it should be in the book.

I agree completely. The epilogues and prologues aren't part of the story. If they were important they would be part of the story.
People write forwards for books, that's just another person writing about what they thought about the book or author... I assume that's what author is doing in the prologue and epilogues

I do not take booktok seriously and I never will. What the fuck you mean the epilogue and prologue “aren’t part of the book/story”???????

Death Of 1000 Cuts - Interviews All the interviews I've done for Death Of 1000 Cuts, with authors, poets, playwrights, comedians, editors, publicists, psychologists and neuroscientists. Support the podcast here: www.ko-fi.com/timcl

At the moment, my podcast for writers is on hiatus, but the archive is up for listening. It would really cheer me up if anyone who has listened could let me know their favourite episode(s). There is a playlist just for interviews, which I think is a great resource.

Stay frosty, my friends. For it is THE DAY OF LIES. Dipshitted shenanigans abound! Foolish chicanery everywhere! Japes by those people and companies who are very bad at japes! Hide in the dark! Trust no one till the sun has set upon this stupid day!

OpenAI ”acknowledged in its own research that LLMs will always produce hallucinations due to fundamental mathematical constraints that cannot be solved through better engineering, marking a significant admission from one of the AI industry’s leading companies.”

The degree to which the bluesky leadership does not understand the people who populate their service is extremely funny. Their AI tool is followed by 1,500 people but blocked by 125,000.

4. -Even if you think you're going out of your way not to put "politics" into your work, you are. Who you are in the world, what you think of it, and what you aspire to say your work is *inherently* a social/political stance. Writers can't help but be "political" because all writing is commentary.

Yeah I'm thankfully happy to dodge it too. I have a super pocket and a VS. The super pocket gets used simply because it's so portable.
I might pick up the banjo cart at some point but I could just play them on Xbox again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very curious about this. If you haven't paid attention, Blaze has kinda built the Evercade into a seriously viable little platform with a range of hardware and like 700 games all on carts. New games, emulation, ports etc and all at a low price. It's super cool stuff!

Just how dumb do you need to be to think there's no politics in even the existence of Klingons and Romulans in Star Trek, let alone who they're fighting or why?

Been thinking about it since I saw JK Rowling posted this yesterday about the IOC's new policy, calling Imane Khelif a man.

Imane Khelif was born female. She was raised as a girl. Her original birth certificate says female. She's always been a woman.

But sure. "Men punching women."

Church leaders criticise Christian owner of GB News over channel’s climate attacks Exclusive: Paul Marshall also challenged over his own ‘misleading’ statements and £1.8bn of fossil fuel investments in his hedge fund

If Paul Marshall of GB News says the planet "is currently in a gradual warming cycle" and thinks whether or not climate heating is being caused by human action is “still subject to debate”, he is ignoring decades of hard climate science. 🧪
