Years ago, I first caught Amadeus at CIFF, on a late summer Sunday morning. I suspect everyone remembers the first time they see Forman's masterpiece on the big screen.

Just caught (very belatedly) Immortal Beloved - another distinctive Bernard Rose picture to add to the list. There's an irresistible, soft and melancholy romanticism running through his films it took me far too long to fully appreciate - eagerly await Lear, Rex.
