Jjust kidding, this is the real answer:

I think I know:
The color of the shapes doesn't seem to follow any pattern or matter at all (maybe red herring). The number of sides seems to go up each time, so now it should be 8. So, it was either A or D, but the purple diamond inside seems to alternate between vertical and horizontal, so D
