I added you to my list of shows when I upgraded, does that count?

There’s something mentally wrong with the President of the United States.
This may be a vegan ice cream golden age, with shelves fully stocked with pints, bars, cones, and other treats from more brands than ever before. We tasted 10 vegan ice cream novelties and 55 vegan pints. nyti.ms/4ctYqRg
DOJ demanded voter files from all 50 states.
DOJ sued 31 states for refusing their demand.
My law firm intervened to protect voters in those cases.
DOJ is now 0-5.
My firm is 5-0.
Lesson: When we fight we win.
The head of the FBI isn't supposed to be getting blackout drunk. He's supposed to be cross-dressing
That's because you are either a newfriend or have faulty memory. In 1999 it was the *internet* undergoing what you are describing. People happy with their newspapers, CD players and cable TV going "what could the internet possibly offer me?" There was even the gender imbalance you're pointing at!
No one? I do recall it. Those technologies (the web, “crackberrys” etc) had evangelists — and skeptics. In hindsight, they both got things right and wrong (and exaggerated or spouted nonsense). The differences now: change is faster, stakes bigger, debate fiercer.
True story. John Roberts took a political/policy decision upon himself that hadn't been argued before any court and created the era of the shadow docket.
The ruling in 2016 “marks the birth, many legal experts believe, of the court’s modern ‘shadow docket,’ the secretive track that the Supreme Court has since used to make many major decisions, including granting President Trump more than 20 key victories on issues from immigration to agency power.”
“Rulings with no explanation or reasoning, like the sparse paragraph from that February night, have become routine. The emergency docket is now a central legacy of the court led by Chief Justice Roberts.”
“The papers expose what critics have called the weakness at the heart of the shadow docket: an absence of the kind of rigorous debate that the justices devote to their normal cases.”
“In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop” Obama’s climate plan
Chief Justice John Roberts and his cronies broke the Supreme Court, the country’s balance of power and arguably the planet’s climate, in this telling. NYT blockbuster has leaked documents about the origins of the “shadow docket” www.nytimes.com/2026/04/18/u...
“I don’t want a physical altercation” wtf
I wouldn’t put less than 50
The current moment with Rand Paul reminds me of when you work with someone that you despise, but every now and then you get to see them annoy the shit out of someone else on your behalf, and it just feels amazing. Like loosing a plague on your enemies.
CNN: Data shows JD Vance has plummeted 21 points in approval, becoming the least popular VP at this stage.
Less popular than Dan Quayle, think about that for a second.

3rd cat in a box
In Turkey, an elderly man who earns his living by shining shoes is visited every morning at the same time by a cat that asks to have its fur brushed. The man never turns down this little friend.😍👍💙
Everything 🍊 touches dies. Not always a terrible thing.

After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵 (1/5)

I wanna point out something serious. The admin has been complaining about Iran winning the information war.
This same administration shut down Voice of America, and other information operations the US govt does.
It’s a self goal. Actions have consequences
Two pictures of the pillsbury dough boy: once is on a purple background with the caption “he is risen! happy Easter!”, and the other is tan and brown, similar to a cracker, on a white background saying “he is not! Happy Passover!”
It’s time to post one of my favorite memes of the year.
I was watching it in the Baltimore Sun newsroom. It may be true that many adults were not watching it live (no internet or TV in their workplaces) but it was an event for schools because of the teacher on board, and that seems particularly traumatic. Not sure what the OP’s point is anyway
I am not sure it is exact location. I think the B&N was next to or near Astor Place barbers. But I do remember this area inspired the old joke about a Starbucks opening inside a Starbucks
