I’m home from the hospital. Incision pain is still very much a thing but it’ll get better. Bed feels so good.

So, uh, I had emergency open laparotomy last night for suspected incarcerated bowel in my umbilical hernia. Good news, no loss of bowel and reduced hernia. Bad news this style surgery means it could come back someday.

Of course when I start packing a bag to go to the ER for essentially vomiting for almost 24 hours off and on the pain suddenly subsided and I am about to relax for a little bit. The bag remains packed.

Legit though, my insides feel like they’re on fire.

My tummy hurts (I vomited at work) and I’m mad at the government.

If you want. I know it has been living rent free in my head for a little bit.
