Getting a robot to navigate any given home, avoid obstacles, handle things deftly, etc is a lot harder of a problem than just driving (though lower stakes since cars are 4,000 lb high speed death machines). And thats before we get into the where the processing is happening, the data collection etc

It's just that none of it is radically better than 2 years ago, it's all very slow growth, and while locomotion is impressive, bipedal form factors are just very limiting and the actual applications are the actual problem, as we can see from how long and slow the process of robots driving has been

Not to mention, there haven't really been major leaps in robotics, its very incremental and a lot of hype and wishful thinking,
