yeah, I saw that - hoped for some trick how to override that.

Dear Kevin, Dear Hamid, you've got a typo at your graphical abstract! "Spot it!" he-he 😜pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLandin...

Depends on supplier (what are the admixtures) and what is GB used for. Org.chem. GBs inside are so heavily contaminated with random chemicals, that so dirty Cu-cat is ok to regenerate with ind.grade mixture. If GB is clean like room for semiconductors, uhp might be your all-time friend.
Preparation of reactants often includes neutralization step, as it is for aldoxime synthesis: R-CHO + NH2OH*HCl + a Base. Instead of work-up, such enough-conductive reaction mix can be used directly for anodic generation of nitrile oxides: chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
To those who works on nano-defined Cu-catalysts for CO2RR: Have you ever wondered why your beautiful nanoparticles turns into pumpkin after a midnight🤔? Because Cu dissolves and redeposits, that's why! Teams of Buonsanti, Lopéz, and Cherevko have figured it out here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
That reminds me my childhood hobby to solder out any random part of old radio (capacitor, resistor or transistor) and test whether it is still working, if not - place back, if yes - move to another one, at the end it was half parts gone but the radio was still operational 🤷♂️😆
Not only it shall be not forgotten, but also expanded further ! Look how it's done electrochemically by Sun et. al. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.... 🙃Notably, unsubstituted styrenes do not rearrange and form azido-ketones instead (ring-effects on radical stabilization?) I wonder how scalable it is?🤔
Although great development in organic Electrosynthetic methods and increasing recognition as an important area of research and development, it seemingly remains non-present it undergrad org. chem. lecture/practical courses. How it is in your University?
Our OrgChem Starter Pack is growing with already 122 entries, but we will start a volume 2 if we go over the 150 limit!
