Life is immeasurable. We don't know how long we have. We know how far things are, how much something is, or even how many there could be.

Being extremely animated while trying to sleep is so absurd. That writing itch, that outlet to creativity I thought I lost 20 years ago bursting from the seams, is keeping me up. Every time I put my phone down I have to load Keep or Docs to jot things down. It's an editing disaster,🍃...let me sleep.

It's been a tough while since Majo passed and with me working two jobs, I haven't had a lot of time to create. I'm stepping away from some of my responsibilities to focus on my mental health and get my sh*t in order. Here are some speed paints from a while back.

I've been writing so much, it's like a road and every time I travel down it a new fork in the road hits. I need to put trees, roots, mountains, etc.

To get down to a more meticulous building though. Connections, struggles, humor, interactions, motivations, a reason, instead of just an escape.

Which isn't hard these days, surrounded by information. We knew a lot before the Internet, but it had an immediate impact.

Today we are barraged with repetitive unrelatable information. Limit it. 🤍

Have a song on repeat? Find a new tune? Have a go to comfort song? Maybe a song that you have to listen to if it comes on? Maybe a jam that you're embarrassed to admit you like?
Perhaps an entire album that takes you in an unforgettable journey?

I go in brain off. Chat and brainstorm are the best things. Sometimes a great idea comes from my one braincell though and I usually post the idea and then ask if someone wants to make it come to life lol. Sometimes it doesn't but sometimes it does! Anyway, if you don't ask them, you'll never know.

I suppose that kind of makes sense, I think that's up to each player's interpretation. Since we discovered there was more than meets the eye with them invading. The typical FF puppet strings. It does keep true to cultural beliefs though. Living memory, the cenote, Golden City, etc. Albeit, simple.

Easy choice*

That's very valid. While it's still obvious and the way choice, to say it was done poorly seems disingenuous. There was clearly a lot of research, effort and time put into understanding the civilizations that make up the majority of the base story. More so than most non-historical games.

I felt it was very good. Aztecs, Mayans, the architecture, the cultures, the locations, etc. The techno baddies didn't show up until we thoroughly went through 4 zones, explored the Amazon, and met the cultures & people. I might say it's probably the best villain: technologically advanced invaders.
