Swiiiiiiiiiift!!! A frustratingly brief glimpse over Vicar's Lane around 7pm, then thankfully managed to relocate it about 45 mins later feeding around the church in the fading light. #YearTick

Pair of Tawny Owls roosting at GFB again today, looking thoroughly cheesed off at this windy weather.
An absolute privilege to have these birds within view of my desk, but it does distract from work somewhat...
Wonder where they will choose to nest?? π¦

Bravely ventured into the lawless village of Kilnsea this afternoon and was rewarded with two Woodcock! One was in slightly better shape than the other, it has to be said.....
About 5 minutes before I found this I said "I'd love to find an Echinoid today". And then - boom! #Manifested

Just been to collect my two Club biscuits (one mint, one orange). Oh - and give some blood in exchange.
It's been a few years now, due to holidays, tattoos, surgery and illness, so it's good to finally partake in a little bit of blood letting once again!

I mean... you're taking it entirely the wrong way.
Go on then! It's Nathan's fault - he made me do it! π»
I've had two glasses of wine and a Pizza Hut pizza! Debating whether or not to have a cheeky whisky.... π€
What a smashing day. Kicked off by finding a Firecrest and Woodcock in the garden.
Then had a Goldcrest land on my head in Easington Churchyard.
Then found a Dusky Warbler.
And then a Hume's Warbler.
I never find anything! π

I adore this aquarium. There's always something going on, wherever you look. π₯°
There's another one!!
There's a big ass plane doing crazy things! We've just been watching it from the window. It's coming up as a 'military or government' aircraft, and it's come from Brize Norton. But it looks like a normal passenger plane.
Bizarre!
Crikey! It's been a long time since I had a temperature this high.
9.45pm and I'm eating an ice lolly in an attempt to cool down. Absolutely sweltering!! π·π₯π₯π₯
Today I have been mostly feeling sorry for myself. That awful feeling at the start of a cold where EVERYTHING hurts........ π·π
Thoroughly enjoying having these squeaky little tykes back in the garden.

I think the real question is - why does your face NOT have a full Tom Selleck 'tach?
And for anybody who might be a bit concerned about how close Paul was to the bird, here's where it started.....
Pectoral Sandpiper showed reasonably well at Easington Lagoons this afternoon. @nomadbirder.bsky.social
No, yeah. Totally.
Look at this big, bumbling dude. π₯°π
