Thank you Governor Walters!

April 19, 1995 will define Oklahoma for generations. Radical anti-government terrorists killed 168 Oklahomans in a senseless attack that still reverberates 31 years later. I'll never forget coming back from an All-State music competition and driving by the site before they demolished the building. The fence was covered in teddy bears and when we saw it we all got so quiet. The whole bus. As a kid from Broken Bow I couldn't imagine the devastation I saw but it was the teddy bears and mementos that led to the realization that it was more than a destroyed building, it was destroyed lives. Today, I hope that we recommit ourselves to fight against extremism and will work together to peacefully coexist.

Edmond voters are fired up! It was standing room only at our 12th town hall! Thanks so much to the 125 folks who took time out of their day to discuss the critical issues facing CD-5.

It’s worth noting that Stephanie Bice hasn’t held a town hall since August 2021, four and a half years ago.

I’m so grateful for these kind, uplifting words from Senator Reverend George Young. Our Churches have an exchange program and it’s always such an honor to worship together. My faith has seen me through many difficult times and is central to my life and belief system.

Educators are the heart of Oklahoma’s communities. Growing up, I was so inspired by my teachers that I became one myself. The greatest honor of my life was being named 2020 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. Our educators give so much of themselves to their students and their schools. More than unpaid classroom supplies, these people give weekends and evenings at athletic events, they decorate cafeterias for dances and celebrations. They work the lights and dress the backgrounds for plays. They come to work early and stay late to grade papers and meet parents. Our educators are the hardest working people you’ll meet and they continue to inspire our future generations to reach for the stars. This is a tough profession full of tough people who don’t earn nearly enough, but I’m so grateful for my time in the classroom and my friendship with so many wonderful teachers.

Today, Artemis II returns to Earth. Re-entry is the riskiest part of the mission and I hope you’ll join me in keeping the crew’s safety in your thoughts and prayers. Space exploration allows us to dream as big as our imaginations allow. In Congress, I’ll support NASA’s mission.

While going through my Mima’s things, I came across the application she submitted to my school for their Child Nutrition Program.Mercifully, it was approved and I was able to eat a warm meal.
This is why I want to pass a bill so that every kid has a free breakfast and lunch.No kid should be hungry.

Last night’s severe weather resulted in damaged property in OKC and Shawnee, but mercifully didn’t cause any loss of life. If you sustained property damage, reach out to your insurer and if a federal disaster is declared, check to see if you’re eligible for benefits to help repair the damage.

Trump says the federal government shouldn’t pay for Medicare or Medicaid and should exist to only fund wars. Bice has already shown she’ll do whatever he wants in Congress. Social Security is also at risk. This is why it’s essential we must flip the House and the Senate.

It’s finally filing day! I’ve been running this race for almost nine months, but today makes it official. I’m so grateful to my supporters, staff, volunteers and friends today. I hope you’ll join us at The Sound Bar in OKC tonight at 5pm to celebrate this milestone!
