This is Fitz and June. Fitz just got here and thinks this place is pretty great. June was here first and thinks it's time to return Fitz. 13/10 for both (TT: muester)

Although listening to this again, this also has key changes.

She was the only celebrity death I cried over, that year.

As we watch the #Mastermind final, spare a thought for the two spare contestants who’ve revised a third subject and are sitting in their hotel room in Belfast just in case until they’re stood down at lunchtime.

I think you can look however TF you like when you're having chemotherapy and writing about it.

A woman commenting on my Substack has requested that I smile in the next photo I post. You know, that Substack I’m writing about fucking cancer.

It’s going to be one of those days when I keep having a little cry about Victoria Wood. I’ve gone three times already and it’s only 7.30.

Really underrated as a singer, too - how many key changes does Barry and Frieda have?

And what a wonderful warm generous underrated sitcom dinnerladies was: generations of brilliant women given brilliant lines. From Anne Reid and Thelma Barlow to Maxine Peake and Shobna Gulati.

Oh god I loved her.

It’s ten years since we lost one of the finest we ever had.

Victoria Wood was wonderful. Seeing a funny clever woman writing and performing each week on my TV was hugely inspiring for me.

She died of cancer at 62. That’s the age I am now so it’s particularly hurting.

VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?

ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]

My edgy take is that I haven't been on holiday since 2018 and I never consented to infection with a SARS virus.

You also gotta love [sarcasm] how they seem to think this is an “edgy” take. Like, this is the farthest it gets from an edgy take. There isn’t a more boring, generic take than that.

So this may come as a surprise to some folks on here, but there are people still living like this today because they can't afford to get reinfected with Covid & the pandemic is *not* over

Because they are tricky.

Phoning Up is the worst thing. If I hadn't gone with my gut the other week and done it I'd still be sitting here now waiting for a hospital appointment for a procedure that they only do once a month (I did not know this before I Phoned Up and luckily they had a cancellation). Rooting for you.

Also, I used to love sitting in cafes writing. It doesn't make her special or a hero.

Pardon me but I don't remember JKR loudly and vocally advocating for single mums beyond talking about how she was a single mum while she wrote books. Perhaps I blinked and missed it. I know that wasn't even the point of this post but.

I just think it's pretty obvious Palantir should be nowhere near our NHS and that alone renders Labour unfit to lead this country.

You don't have to tell ADHDers that something would have been easier if they'd done it earlier or if they did it more frequently. They know. They're probably beating themselves up about it. They probably tried really hard but not getting shit done even when we try is a big part of our whole deal.

Am I surprised that there were 62million visits to a rape instructions website? No. But I AM surprised a website like that exists coz from what I can tell men already know how to do all that stuff.

Thanks, Peter! Bloody lovely @robinince.bsky.social. Recommend to anyone who is a bit sick of hearing from comedians that "you can't say anything anymore".

Reading this thinking of Just Dance by Gaga (3 'skeets' in before my brain caught up). Always get the titles mixed up 😂

The Spandaus are finding it hard to write the next line. They should put their heads together with FR David, maybe some kind of lyric-writing workshop? #totp

Most significant update to NICE Guidelines on ovarian cancer in 15 years Today the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has updated its guideline NG12 on recognising cancer and making referrals.

A step in the right direction but it’s still horrendously undiagnosed because first you and your GP have to realise its not IBS or similar before you even get a test.
