Term limits and age restrictions now please.
my favorite is the guy in the back who’s walking mostly normal but very slightly rhythmic so he’s in sync with the rest of the march.
at this point, if you're a popular act like the Strokes and not using your publicity to do this at a festival like Coachella, one of the most obvious symbols of 21st century American wealth and excess-
then you're doing Coachella wrong.
“Slow retreat” lmfao not fast enough.
You’re going down with the ship too.
"Why don't Americans..." they do. There's brave acts happening out of sight everyday.
Why don't YOU support them when they get arrested or provide material cover for them?
Surprise surprise: it was more Islamaphobic Dearborn voter-shaming garbage.
Maybe next time, the Democrats will pick a candidate that doesn’t support genocide and death.
You can Cory Booker can both kick rocks.
My hands are in the air
And that's where they always are
You're fucked if you do, and you're fucked if you don't
Five stop mother superior rain
And though they were sad
They rescued everyone
They lifted up the sun
A spoonful weighs a ton
That was my most formative experience as a Mets fan.
Sitting in my parents' living room as a 13yo Mets fan screaming at the TV and at Tom Glavine, wondering against futility and cursing God and the universe at how a future Hall of Famer could completely destroy an entire season so rapidly.
Technically, I did too [as a newborn] but damn it if I wasn't subconsciously imbued by the Bobby Bo, Vince Coleman, Tim Bogar, Bret Saberhagen experience from an early age!
Fairmount Park in the summer
Lookin' good on the street
"Mannequin" was filmed at Woolworth's
Boyz II Men still keepin' up the beat, yeah
Freedom of '76 now, yeah yeah yeah yeah
Okay, if the Strokes are going to help usher in the proletariat revolution then maybe I should reconsider my distaste for Is This It? and give it a re-listen so I can re-evaluate.
I think that’s only fair.
That goes for Australians too.
Don’t think that I forgot about you all.
Getting really sick and tired of smug performative Europeans doing victory laps on the US as if Europe isn’t also going down with the ship once the global economic collapse begins.
If you think Europe isn’t going to experience the same economic collapse the US is about to, or that Europe isn’t tethered to the same global economy that the US is, or that Trump isn’t bad for the rest of the world, you are in for an extremely rude awakening.
I hope they eat her.
So far, so good. After watching Capricorn One just now I’m really gaining an appreciation for Peter Hyams’ directorial style.
2010: The Year We Make Contact
nw:
another one I’ve been meaning to watch for a long time.
"Would you be shocked to find out that the greatest moment of our recent history may not have happened at all?" Capricorn One Elliott Gould - James Brolin - Brenda Vaccaro - Sam Waterston - O.J. Simpson - and Hal Holbrook Directed by Peter Hyams - Music by Jerry Goldsmith
nw:

I AM HOLDING A LOVELY TRANS FLAG AND DECLARING THUS: HOORAY FOR MY NICE TRANS FRIENDS!!
But also, it should go without saying:
Everything Dean Wareham does is gold.
I love it when you post rock albums because I know you don't really listen to rock that much anymore so it usually means said album is great.
Fucking people try to bring me down
Talk about me and your stupid town
Since then, I migrated over to Stardew Valley and Terraria but I still have a fondness for Minecraft.
One of these days I'll slay the ender dragon.
It's great. I don't play it as much as I used to but I listen to the soundtrack by C418 every day while I work.
My biggest issue with Minecraft was that I stopped having the drive to create new builds and struggled with knowing what exactly to create.
One of these days I need to get back to this game.
Minecraft really helped me get through the beginning of COVID.
gg Cubs maybe it won’t take another 108 years before you win your next one.
Wrigley Field.
My confines? Friendly.
