I've been lucky enough to go to numerous World Your cycling races. Feeling guys blow past you while climbing a fucking ski mountain is insane. Bring on the boards for a sprint finish with everyone elbowing at 70kmph is genuinely terrifying.

Luge is much more challenging technically as well, far less dependent on athleticism at the start and much more so on actually piloting the sled.

He is nicknamed "The Herminator" for a reason. Absolute legend.

He hosts a sports show in TV here in Austria and still races contestants to this day ๐Ÿ˜‚

I listened to this on morphine after breaking my femur. Not sure what parts I hallucinated and which parts were actually in the episode.

Kazakhstan is awesome, and would probably be your favorite place in the world if you visited.

Near Almaty I had a guy offer to let me have a giant steppe eagle sit on my arm. Took one look at a bird with a 1.5m+ wingspan and those giant talons and figured it was better to just admire safely.

It's eerily similar to his performance on the Hautacam in 2022 where he basically sealed the Tour for Vingegaard dropping back from the break and pacing him like a motor bike.

Just a crazy unique rider.
