Remember, yes, you are likely taking a risk with every post you make. Who knows HOW crazy and unlawful they are going get, going after perceived enemies.

I'll just say this: Without people willing to take risks...nothing notable or meaningful has ever happened in world history.

If not us....who?

Oh! And I'll cut off this initial offer on 2/18, aiming to get stickers sent by the end of February.

Final determinations for a sticker printer are being made, but they will be printed locally in Portland, at a small business, with preference for an LGBTQIA2S-owned union shop.

That’s it! And please help me spread the word!

3) Tell me your address in the comment.

4) MAKE SURE YOUR TRANSACTION IS SET TO PRIVATE.

5) In about a month, I’ll either ship you a set of karaoke stickers (in the glorious colorways of Pride, Awesome, and White) or… if I don’t get a lot of interest… I’ll refund your money.

I’m starting with a small “kickstart” to see how people respond, and if it’s well received, I’ll release other designs that I’m working on.

Here’s how it works:

1) Venmo me $10: account.venmo.com/u/jdyktz

2) Tell me whether you want “karaoke is life” or “karaoke saved my life” in the comment.

I believe supporting small businesses is important.

And. Of course. I believe karaoke is important.

So I’m going ahead and putting this little thing out into the world, this thing that I’ve been cooking up for some time.

Images: Both images have a pale blue background with the text, “3-pack
for $10, *free US shipping*", "approx. 3"x2", and "Venmo @jdyktz". Each image shows a different sticker pack, with the design repeated in white on black, Awesome (a dark hot pink) on black, and Pride (rainbow gradient on black). The "Karaoke Saved My Life Tonight" pack shows the text in a bold, blocky typeface. The "Karaoke is Life" pack shows the text in a lounge-inspired typeface with a border like a neon sign.

I’m not gonna lie, this feels trivial in a way. So much of me wants to do nothing but f!ght right now, and there are lots of worthy b@ttles to choose.

But also…

I believe art is important.

I believe making is important.

I believe community is important.

I believe joy is important.

Fulfilled a lifelong dream just a few weeks ago by seeing Cyndi Lauper in concert, and it was an absolute artistic triumph. Here’s her bringing Gayle back out for Girls Just Want to Have Fun.

Last night I avoided news and screens for an hour before bed, then when I realized the edible still hit before I was asleep, I *forced* my brain toward happy topics so I wouldn't go down the fear holes.

Got the best night of sleep I've had in a week and a half. Some disconnection is necessary. 🤘
