That would be high on my list of ‘must do’s’ - and in French which I much prefer.

I am 100% sure Labour will never be treated fairly by the media. That's true no matter who's in charge or what they do.

It's like a permanent background noise. They have to learn to talk over it.

But that means you can't claim "biased right wing media" to excuse the bad stuff.

20 countries have successfully adopted the Euro currency and currently benefit from it.

0 countries have left it and 0 have campaigns to leave it. The currency enjoys majority support in every country that adopted it.

It has proven its success over and over again! #RejoinEU

But Keir Starmer ….

We had enthusiastic applause after first movement of Korngold Violin Concerto at the Barbican on Thursday evening.

That’s if they are allowed to leave the US!

While the press were wetting their pants over a glimmer of hope that they could unseat Starmer he was off trying to protect our country from the fallout of Trumps demented war. The media were just looking for clicks with confected scandal and gossip. Because that’s all they ever do.

Please do not embarrass Farage by reposting his 'Happy Birthday Mr President' tweet. Be careful not to draw attention to the fact that he's holding a bottle of Trump wine, it would make him look like a fawning sycophant, and we wouldn't want to do that ... would we?

This article is worth reading in full. It reinforces my current view that travel to the US is best avoided!

It is isn’t it! We first heard it in Vienna and were delighted by it. Since then we have heard it in Berlin and Oslo as well as again in Vienna. That’s the city in which to see it.

We saw Rosa Feola as Gilda in Verona last summer. Great cast this evening under scoreless Elder, BUT applause part way through Caro nome disappointed me.

Congratulations on your persistence, but it’s quite appalling that they didn’t correct first time around.

Glad you are recovering. Lovely tulips in Little Silver behind St David’s Hill

Exactly my thoughts. I want the main news bulletin to deal with the pressing issues of that exact day. We tried to change channels but didn’t find a news bulletin.

Sorry- over inflated prices!

I had read that transport costs to grounds were to be dramatically increased and that tickets to the matches are being sold at over inflated but not that parking spaces would be reduced in favour of sponsors. Those who advise against travel to the US have the right idea.

Your tweet confused me. Has tailgating in the US changed? We went to opera at Santa Fe over a period of many years. In the parking lot opera goers would set up tables and chairs for their pre show dinner. No money was involved. Hence why I don’t understand your comment about £100 for the Lewes bus.

I am sure that you are well qualified to come to some well thought out conclusions. We are currently listening to Don Giovanni from the Met. No trips for us to the US for the foreseeable future! Plenty to enjoy elsewhere!

So do I, but, assuming you are not penniless, it does depend on what you spend your money on. I have been going to opera all my life here and abroad. For many years I was a Young Friend at the ROH, I’ve stood at operas and now in my 70’s I sit where I want. Opera in mainland Europe is often dearer.

Of course some opera tickets are expensive, but there are cheaper seats and standing is always an option.

Sign up to hear the latest Royal Ballet and Opera news, receive ticket alerts, and discover how to support us.

I get that - though it compares very favourably with many other forms of live entertainment which rarely/never get criticised for cost, and there are cheap ticket schemes - but there is also Opera on 3 every Saturday night for the music, and watching online - see www.rbo.org.uk/stream?tab=e...

Have just seen the Siegfried relay here in Exeter. Saw the performance at ROH last month - both absolutely wonderful - great to see the singers closeup. I think Lise Davidsen would/will make a stunning Brunnhilde.
