Did Madonna get her knee-highs back?

Thoughts? It’s commentary on commodification of celebrity, and the kind of self-muzzling women do, while getting a chicken fillet roll. Maybe it’s a free range chicken though…

Yes. Dog whistle. And it’s where the left and right are converging because essentially there HAS been no provision of services, infrastructure, or basic housing by the FFG. Shuddering to find myself in agreement with someone who would claim Ireland is full.

Ha! (‘Shed-like materials’ was another phrase I saw bandied about).

And aside from the middle classes not being angry, the points she raises are very valid.

Yes the trickle down economics shilling didn’t land well. And I don’t agree at all that Ireland’s economy is begrudgery fuelled, although zerosum perhaps, yes, if they can be conceptually extricated.

The coming global food crisis Hunger and even famine are foreseeable consequences of the war on Iran. Now the world must act to shield the poorest from effects that will continue long after the fighting stops

It's also worth being clear about who's doing the arguing. Palantir sells operational software to defence, intelligence, immigration & police agencies. These 22 points aren't philosophy floating in space, they're the public ideology of a company whose revenue depends on the politics it's advocating.

Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement

This absolute vile dystopia we're living in now.

Love how they made it 'female' to appeal to exactly the type of businesses who'll jump at 'no HR required 24 hour labour'

Excellent open letter against the uncritical adoption of AI in academia . Well worth sharing with colleagues and esp university administrators.

Toasted pinenuts (the luxury! They are more expensive than gold!) sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds with fistfuls of Grana Padano

Fuck it all in the blender and add a giant pinch of salt. Also a bit of sweet if it tastes very green when you add olive oil - I used rapeseed oil too, to thin it out

Three corner leek pesto. I have introduced this invasive allium and am quite happy for it to take over. I also planted wild garlic and it’s a lot slower growing and slower to spread. In fairness the wild garlic is in a shadier spot, I might add some more clumps if I can poach some more from my mum.
