One of my earliest memories is of finding a button on the floor at church and my mom immediately said, “don’t put that in your mouth it could’ve been up someone’s ass”. We all had a good laugh, but it was the most valuable life lesson I ever got from church.

Maybe they’re worried about pathogens associated with handling raw meat vs the ick factor of touching a dead animal. After I saw a security camera video of a guy sticking random items in his ass at an antique store, and then just placing them back on the shelves, I try not to touch much of anything.
