I didn't realize there were lcd games that were this advanced. I might have found another stupid thing to obsess over.

And try playing as Amy. She's basically easy mode so you can rip through the stages and bosses which is fun when replaying.
I played Sonic 2, Sonic Mania, Sonic Superstars, Sonic 3 and Knuckles 3 times and now I'm back to Superstars. I might be the crazy one but I enjoy it more each time. Oshima finally got to work on Sonic again and it was a beautiful thing.
Puyo Puyo, your intricacies may be too much for my brain to handle.
Flower power
I think it's also time to go through Puyo Puyo Chronicle which is a Puzzle/RPG for 3DS that never left Japan.
Finished Sonic 3 and Knuckles and immediately started another playthrough and am back at the Death Egg. I'm hooked. It's also amazing to play these games in 16:9. I think next I'm gonna tackle Sonic CD... For the first time.
Yes, this includes the GBA games. No, this doesn't include Sonic Rush.
Maybe because I've been playing them since before I can even remember and took them for granted, but after playing a crazy amount of 2D Sonic these past couple of weeks I can say we somehow don't glaze these games enough lol. Looking back now it's kind of wild that these games existed back then.
Weow Sonic Origins is on sale for 9 bucks. Don’t mind if I do.
That run of Sonic Superstars in in the books. It's actually better than I remembered because the bosses didn't give me much trouble this time. I either improved and had more fun or they patched it at some point? Maybe a bit of both but overall it's better than its reputation.
Finished up that run of Sonic Mania so now I might jump to Sonic Superstars. It really does need a sequel. It could be the Sonic 2 to... Sonic 1. A fun game getting polished into something great.
Played through Sonic 2 and then started yet another playthrough of Mania. 2D Sonic just rules.
And another one
I managed a couple more slowly constructed 10 chains tonight. That's Puyo Puyo progress. ぷよぷよ🐟
Maybe trying to make a competitive puzzle game for web browsers was a good call after all since soon enough we won't be able to afford hardware or games anyway... Come to think of it, most of us won't be able to afford much of anything.
And they keep your bowels nice and clean! But my takeaway from Bananza was to punch anything and everything around me that I don't want around me.
This is maybe a broad idea but I've kinda been wondering why all entertainment companies don't lobby on behalf of the common folk to keep the prices of essentials as affordable as possible. They're the first to go when we need to save a few bucks... And a lot of people need to save a few bucks.
Those little puyos are mesmerizing. I see them when I close my eyes. There’s no escape.
My first 10 chain in Puyo Puyo. Let's gooooooo!
Yeah It looks like there was something going on from 10 to 6 but we didn’t get there until after. I don’t think there was a competition but maybe it had something to do with the bingo thing on the other side of the table? I’ve been hooked on Puyo lately so it was beautiful sight on a boring trip lol
Puyo Puyo at the maaaaalllllll😱I have no idea why it’s here this weekend but it should stay up year round. It’s way better than shopping haha.
Don't tempt me.
They don't want to directly call out everybody for not buying Super Monkey Banana Rumble but they're calling out everybody for not buying Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.
When everything state of the art requires a subscription and nobody has access to powerful hardware we’ll go back to this level of tech and these kinds of aesthetics and be happy about it.
And all the Puyo they got on the DS over here really helps the console’s case as the puzzle game GOAT.
I’m coming to realize Puyo Puyo isn’t just a game… it’s a way of life. I got PPT2 (on sale) to support the cause and the DS games I just found cheap. Champions and 20th anniversary are the ones I’ve put the most time into but it’s time to branch out a bit.
Man, in the right hands Sega's old hardware could really sing.
Another cool little bit of Puyo knowledge I didn't know about but there was apparently a typing game. You'd play Puyo Puyo like normal and then a prompt to type would have to be completed to attack after a chain or to defend yourself from garbage.
