I don't really get how co op fits into Raiders' game structure but I'm glad they're doing it. Hopefully this means they're adding really tough challenges or replayable modes, but if they aren't I'll still play it like 3D World where I play through the game like 5 times via other peoples' save files

I have been searching for this man my entire playthrough, trying to deduce where he may appear or what his interests may be
and bro just appeared wanting to steal the vegetables I planted right as I'm about to presumably finish the story

Still think it's crazy Nintendo implements shitty FOMO mechanics in its games (daily login rewards, timed events, etc.) but doesn't have a financial model that benefits from them. They just do it because they want to
Next step is to start developing ray projections so we can see sightlines change in real time
I tried limiting myself only to Zelda for one and Majora's Mask not being there feels criminal because depending on the day OOT/MM/TP may be my favorite, and same for LBW/OOA/ST for 2D games. Not repping other HW games or multiplayer games also feels weird but I haven't really played them much
been trying to make one of those "about me: video game" charts for the last few days but I constantly feel like I'm either leaving out something personally significant or if I try to not reuse games I'm not entirely genuine in making it
I can't *not* have perfectly crafted takes now can I
splattercolor screen be like (flash and sound warning)
oh absolutely, although it's most obviously culturally present in male actors/singers appealing to women
I personally liked the Switch 1 first year lineup way more than the Switch 2's, but I think people who have a Switch 1 and not a 2 are also more valid in noting the lack of exclusives because "it's portable now!" isn't a new draw of the console for them
Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, and some 3rd party releases kept me interested for the rest of the year too. The Switch 1's first year was kinda carried by the novelty of playing these games on the go, including Wii U ports and 3rd parties so these releases didn't really feel weak in the moment
I feel like everything was at least interesting enough to hold me over between releases. BotW and Snipperclips kept me busy until Mario Kart, when I was starting to get bored with that Arms and BotW DLC came out, and Splatoon 2 was basically all I needed for the rest of the year
Except I held down X first and then tapped ZL ???
I genuinely cannot remember what game has X + ZL as a dash/sprint option but I just tried to pull that. Part of me thinks I just made it up
playing a video game when some deeply-buried muscle memory kicks in and I press an entirely incorrect button/combo for performing an action, resulting in an unintended consequence and maybe my death in-game

I've been saying this for years but Intensify Action has been staring us in the face as an ability option that should be good but the devs only made it good on shooters and blasters. Give other weapons added aerial/mobility options!!!!!
In S2 I had a handful of builds for bamboo and at least one unique build for other weapons I ran
but now I'm basically just swapping CB/LDE hats and NS/run speed/special charge shirts
People treat MPU like hell but at least it gave us buildcrafting options and let you choose between kill/support
Main saver is either you need it or don't on most weapons, same with special power with 1-2 subs being it
Like S2 CB/LDE is a main swap option, but otherwise it's basically just ninja squid or not?
QR builds exist but also feel less important with cooler and aren't really worth it on most weapons
Main weapons have been buffed to be less gear reliant and MPU doesn't exist anymore but it just means most weapons will end up being like "idk run stealth jump, swim speed, special charge, and utility subs and you'll be good"
Why would I run extra mobility with cooler and aura here
Is it just me or does it feel like there's no incentive to experiment with builds in Splatoon 3 (even ignoring chunk grinding)
every day part of me wants to write a multi-hour video essay talking about all the things I dislike/found disappointing about Splatoon 3
but today at seabattle I spent all day being enamored playing it and watching sets from every pov and talking about it

Finally got a 1st 2nd and 3rd place SeaBattle medal (but in the weirdest categories)
