Government confirms timetable to implement precision breeding rules The government has confirmed that the legislation needed to implement new precision breeding rules will be introduced to parliament by the end of March.

Yesterday, Defra secretary, Steve Reed set out a timeline for the Precision Breeding Act.

A clear plan to introduce necessary secondary legislation, by the end of March, is positive news for the plant breeding industry.
