I know there's a lot of people that worked on this behind the scenes but on top of Ralf and Tom, I also wanna give a huge shout out to Joel Wilcox and Jacob Applin for a ton of contributions, pairing sessions over tuple, and starting work with me on Metro as far back as January 2025. Hire them!

Is there interesting technical content on leveraging LLMs to help with root causing production issues?

Beyond just "we pasted all the logs in context & asked to solve"

E.g. log compression, algorithmic investigation, exposing tools & methods, etc..

That 16% has been revised upwards, as it included a cohort that included those with the older, much less effective vaccine. For those vaccinated with Shingrix, the reduction of dementia diagnoses downstream may be well over 50%. The data are still coming.

A British grandmother with a valid visa detained by ICE for 6 weeks.

"So why did ICE detain her, and keep her locked up for so long? ICE officers are paid a bonus every time they detain someone. 'Individual ICE agents get money per head that they detain – the guards told me that,' Karen says."

I really urge you to not just shake your head at the headline of this but to read each word, to imagine each step these kids took, to sit with the terrible dilemma of the mother, to imagine the principal driving toward Whipple.

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

NATO did not "stay a little back, off the front lines."

Danish, British and Estonian troops served in Helmand, and Canadian forces in Kandahar - the two most dangerous Afghan provinces.

Denmark, UK, Estonia & Canada suffered amongst the highest per‑capita soldier death rates when defending the US.

Any one of these daily atrocities should result in a full congressional investigation and a disbanding of the agency. The fact that it’s all just shrugged off by those with the power to stop it is a national disgrace.

The combo of these two groups went from 64% to 76%.
