Ghetto Supastar, Joints & Jam, and The Canibus/Youssou N’Dour duet How Come were some of my favorites on the album.

At least there were some fun bangers on the soundtrack.
Is Vance gonna get stood up
Conservatives still expect the benefits of traditional norms to redound to them even as they make it clear they don't give a shit as they discard norm after norm that gets in their way.
I heard this album at an impressionable age thanks to being way into the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos, who were on the same label.
It's truly a problem how much of the American political conversation is dominated by a serial bullshitter bullshitting. It's muck that will take us 20 years to rebuild from.
Trump's new wing of the White House is totally clean though
I hope Dems know this! I want them to show signs they'll run against the media now, since it will be absolutely essential when they are in charge and getting endless negative coverage from the usual suspects aimed at making them go wobbly based on a few disgruntled editors and donors.
681/1000 Queen, "Another One Bites the Dust" - Queen going disco-funk and exploring the possibilities of negative space, right after doing some rockabilly revival, shows how much range these guys had. Love the guitars that got distorted into something like chirping crickets. #brodystoprock1000
Here’s hoping Trump eats a big helping of shit tonight
These journalists don’t seem to know what their job is, or know all too well
How did David Byrne make a Silvio Rodriguez compilation aimed at an Anglo audience that didn’t include Ojalá?
“No boots on the ground in Iran means the Dem president is weak and feckless.“
Kelly's manager/love interest at the Max!
Margaret Atwood?
Ok Donald, so just send ships through the strait. Now. Put up or shut up.
Jesse Jackson and Marvin Gaye playing one-on-one.
A lot comes down to the median voter realizing that when Republicans say "freedom" they mean for themselves and no one else. They will not defend to the death your right to say something they disagree with; they will only let you parrot their own opinions. When will normies accept this as obvious?
How does this change? Doesn’t seem like the media feels any pressure to be better.
30 years ago last week, Rage Against the Machine released Evil Empire. I remember buying it the day it came out for $11.99 at Nobody Beats the Wiz. I'd probably rank their other 2 non-covers albums above it but man it packs a punch. Sadly, its subject matter has only grown more relevant. #brodys1996
It’s like how states‘ rights stopped being useful as a rhetorical cudgel when they were used to stop the federal govt from imposing conservative ideology on all states. A LOT of conservatism turned out to be whatever means justify the ends; many anti-Trump conservatives still in denial about it.
If I were an anti-Trump conservative I feel like I would interrogate my conservatism pre-Trump a bit more than Jay does here
You really believe this? Even about Alito? Even about Thomas? Even about Roberts and his shadow docket calvinball? Even Trump v. US?
Defending Musk while attacking Platner based on a normal handwave kinda gives the whole bad faith of the exercise away
It sounds like a parody from 10 years ago
The Dem candidate in 2028 is going to be like Trump except they are gonna say woke things without caring who it offends and the base will love them for it
A group of children serenade President Barack Obama and Mayor Zohran Mamdani with "Soda Pop" from the movie KPop Demon Hunters
682/1000 Aretha Franklin, "Respect" - It's emerged as the consensus Aretha choice, though you'll see some of my own favorites ranked higher here eventually. But there's no denying the way Aretha transformed this song from Otis Redding's begging original into a confident demand. #brodystoprock1000
Live by the conspiracy theory...
There are some good college-based stations around here that are more freeform. But when it comes to stations playing certain songs regularly, even the best of those will have a few duds in heavy rotation that will make me turn the dial. A lot of Mumford's many sons on otherwise all right stations.
