Rehabilitation of the Dandelion!
No other plant in the Netherlands attracts as many bee species: 107. In early spring, when nothing else is blooming, it is simply there. Meadow bird chicks that have just hatched depend on the insects that are drawn to dandelions. No dandelion, no insect, no chick.

Hungary has chosen Europe.
Europe has always chosen Hungary.
A country reclaims its European path.

The Eiffel Tower stands behind leafy trees on the large Trocadéro cobblestone roundabout, and is framed by the Art Déco Palais de Chaillot wings on either side. With the time change, we humans being an hour ahead, the sun is now lower on the horizon at the same human clock time. The sky is light blue at top, with gradient to a sunny orange-yellow at the horizon.
Happy Monday morning
Forsooth, those be sus locutions in ye modern times. Perchance folk should glow up to more contemporaneous verbiage.

Trocadéro looking towards the Eiffel Tower, framed by the wings of the Art Déco Palais de Chaillot and increasingly leafy trees inside the large roundabout. The morning sun can be seen rising over the left/east wing. The sky is a greyish blue looking up, with a soft sunny gradient going down towards the horizon.
Good morning!
(I think it was the weight that separated them and triggered the parachutes? I’m vaguely remembering that and a trigger line between the two stages, which were in the same bottom section. It’s been so long!)
You found a photo! Boy, the smell came first to me too and it’s been decades. We were so lucky to have model rockets. My favorite was a big two-stage one that could carry payload and also had two parachutes, one for each section so the payload part would drop with its own.
Eiffel in the sunrise, taken from Trocadéro behind the Palais de Chaillot. The Palais consists of two massive Art Déco architecture wings designed purposefully to frame this very view. Trees line the roundabout and a lone cyclist can be seen in their shadows.

Trees line the roundabout, which has three cars: one silver Toyota, one black BMW taxi, and one patched-up red compact.

Trees still without leaves line the roundabout and two boxy trucks are in the foreground, somewhat echoing the frame of the boxy Palais wings.
I have the great luck to walk Trocadéro regularly - please do enjoy some Eiffel framed by the Art Deco Palais de Chaillot.
It’s all good! One thing that bores me about the gender essentialism like in the clip, is how much fun and appreciation is buried under a sludge of posture and pretense. Like, my dudes, find someone who is gleeful about your gleeful things and enjoy the fsck out of the short and blessed time we have
Those are cool, always wanted some! One of my grandfathers was a carpenter and made me toys from wood, then when I was old enough, he taught me how to design and make my own 😊 What’s funny and cool is we now have those wooden dinosaur models in our current offices 🤭

As a grown-up I had a stint working in Monaco near the opera house/casino (same building). At lunch I’d sit in the park above and watch all the pretty cars. A decade later, I worked for BMW and got to see the original Calder 3.0 CSL + the new one and a 2002 Turbo, in person 😍

I had a white Lamborghini Countach, a red (of course) Ferrari Testarossa, a NASA poster celebrating the Space Shuttle with several rows of them, each painted by different artists (yeah!) and of course my model rocket launcher with all the rockets I’d built.
I am a straight cis woman.
Here’s an example of serious storage for spools someone might want to use on an active project. Bernina make excellent machines

AI slop. There’s no way those thread spools could hold proper tension - there are good reasons spools are left free on real sewing machines and the threads themselves guided so they can’t get tangled.
Incredibly illuminating to compare income and hours worked across countries and states for ***the bottom 95% of earners only***. The typical Belgian earns as much as the typical Californian but works about 24% less

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.
Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

It was +14C in my suburb west of Paris yesterday. Unbelievable this time of year, could have been considered an outlier… if we hadn’t already had two weeks of 10-12C daytime weather 😔
I'm totally pinching myself announcing this, but a film about my life journey rewilding a West Cork farm, An Irish Atlantic Rainforest, will get its first screening at the Dublin International Film Festival on Saturday the 28th of this month.
Tickets are available here:

Man, I can’t help but think what a society we’d have if there were a fad of well-funded emotionally mature men sharing tips on how to relate as adult humans and the sheer joy it brings.

A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
