Quality 1st period in Dallas. Minnesota are blacked out for me all season, so I don’t see them often. Really entertaining team they’ve got. Hughes is such a fun player to watch.

There are 3 kinds of insiders - guys who get everything from agents, guys who get everything from the clubs, and guys who get simply everything (agent, clubs, league). EF definitely comes across as the later.

I don’t usually watch the intermission stuff, but I’m fairly certain EF was being fed the league justification for certain decisions, so he could relay it publicly. Which is kinda weird. I know he’s not capital J ‘Journalist’, but that’s essentially being a media outlet for the league.

I think we as fans forget context sometimes. Marty’s game plan was clearly limit risk, prevent high danger chances and takeaway passing lanes for Kucherov. He’s also playing the Evans-Danault-Andy line EVERY d-zone draw. Dach’s job is to not make mistakes. I thought that line did well.

I’d keep him in, he’s been one of our most consistent fore-checkers the last couple of months. But, you never know with Marty. I’d also have Veleno in ahead of Gally, sadly.

Don’t get me wrong, I was raging at the time, but having seen it again and calmed down a bit, yeah a case if the young guy habding the hangman’s noise to the veterans.
