...Chief police officers, who are responsible for enforcement, acknowledge that many cyclists, particularly children and young people, are afraid to cycle on the road, sensitivity and careful use of police discretion is required.”
Would it not be possible to appeal the FPN on the basis of the Home Office guidance? “The introduction of the fixed penalty is not aimed at responsible cyclists who sometimes feel obliged to use the pavement out of fear of traffic and who show consideration to other pavement users when doing so....

Is the original guidance issued by the Home Office no longer valid?

We're looking to name our gritter bike...only terrible puns need apply
is there something in place to prevent motorists simply taking to the pavement?
...found myself cycling behind this little thing a few weeks back. Bit smokey, but we hear there's an electric version.
Let's hope that one day we get the kind of cycling infrastructure enjoyed by the Dutch - designed to be used by riders aged 8 to 80, and to connect every city, town and village.

Just saying....the chainsaw on our zombie bike deals with so much more than simply the undead...
We had our own idea of what to do with those boxes, but nothing as beautiful as those you've shared
We're not suggesting cars be banned
If we must have those unexplained utility boxes on every street, can they at least become canvasses for art like this one
My ebike is speed and power regulated from the factory because lawmakers see it as a safety threat to people in cities if left unchecked.
That same Range Rover bought new in France today would be subject to a one-off 60,000 euro VED charge. Similar retrospective cahrges for secondhand cars built since 2015 are incoming too.

That time we built a flamethrower to deal with close passes...
The fewer cars in a city, the better...but if they must be there, make them as small, slow and light as possible www.eta.co.uk/news/the-cas...
Found myself cycling behind this little thing today.
Yes, it's smokey and would be better with an electric motor, but its size, speed and weight make it the most sane car in London.
“Bicycling … is the nearest approximation I know to the flight of birds. The airplane simply carries a man on its back like an obedient Pegasus; it gives him no wings of his own.”

...mas isso faria com que parecesse ainda mais realista 😉
You forgot this...
Good news, but too many have to be fought for tooth and nail
If only the EV revolution could reboot the ute - more usable bed area, less weirdly aggressive styling.
photo of a "motoring helmet" sitting on top of the box it's sold in. The protective headgear is unsual because the images on the packaging make clear it is for the average motorist as opposed to racing drivers
