He was interviewed on Australian 60 Minutes and the journalist just destroyed him, mostly with the use of very handsome eyebrows.

I’m pretty sure Tony‘s presence also backed-in his decision 60 years ago to stop being Catholic.😂

I’ll grant him this - he turned my now 83-year old father from being a life-long LNP voter into a Green. And Tony Abbot convinced him it was the right decision.

The entire birth was captured on camera off the coast of Dominica, giving researchers new insight into sperm whale behavior.

Whoa 🤯

The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

hadn't seen this one on bsky yet so I'm posting it myself. the faint glow you can see on the moon is Earthshine, light reflecting up from the Earths surface and onto the moon, illuminating the dark side during the eclipse. the dot on the left of the image is Venus. just insane.

My dad was bought up to believe he was a persecuted Catholic, backed up by the childhood belief that the underpass at his local train station was “PRESBYTERIANS ONLY”. 12 year-old him later realised it was “PEDESTRIANS’… He’s an atheist now.

I love Razerback's sheer 1980's-ness and Russell Mulcahy's singular vision to make a movie about a monster pig with a Duran Duran music video aesthetic. My only criticism is it needed more venetian blinds.

And the biggest compo payout for Robodebt victims is ... Scott Morrison! - Michael West Compare Robodebt victims' compo to the quantum of Scott Morrison's publicly funded legal fees. It's shameful, reports Rex Patrick.

Exactly what it says on the label: The Pope in 1982. He's wearing a black hat, dark RayBans, and looks like he's a member of the Blues Brothers.

What's from Chicago, hates Illinois Nazis, and is holy as fuck?

It's the Pope in 1982.

If you, like me, are the parent of a neuro-atypical child dreading this autism press conference, please remember: These are the people hurting our kids. Not us. They are the ones stigmatizing and pathologizing them. They are the ones peddling untested science. And we should be very, very angry.

*cracks knuckles*

okay so you know how the media has a problem with taking snippets of scientific studies out of context and writing articles which mislead the public?

now imagine a computer program is doing that when you ask it questions about scientific literature but also it makes stuff up.

Study: The ozone hole is healing, thanks to global reduction of CFCs An MIT-led study confirms the Antarctic ozone layer is healing as a direct result of global efforts to reduce ozone-depleting substances.

Time for some good news! The human world can work together to solve environmental challenges, just like the Montreal Protocol & elimination of CFCs started in the 1980s. By 2035, the ozone “hole” may be completely closed all year long! This Government thanks you all!
