20 Years of Pink Sweets eh? In 2006 I was 19 years old, and I would only begin my love for STG within a year or so after that, playing Raiden Fighters Jet at a local arcade that I would spend all day at. I truly began my obsession for arcade games and STGs at that point.

Completed Ghosts Babe of Dimension (custom map) in Jump King. Got tested pretty hard through out 45 hours. I feel like my skill has improved without me realizing it, considering the amount of 2 framers. Rick King next, I think.

Booga-Boo on MSX. Basically it's just Jump King, but from 1983. You can only jump, and the meter determines how far. Make it back to the top. A lot of fairly tight jumps, but it's only like a 40 sec run once you have control. This seems like the best port. 🦗 www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD5y...

Finished Actraiser Renaissance. If you're a fan of Actraiser you'll enjoy it I think. It's a great tribute. The majority of the gameplay is building and protecting your town in a tower defense style. But I liked it. The enemy animations, art in general are A+ and soundtrack as well.

Ghosts 'n Goblins 2, a PC fan sequel to the arcade game. According to the site dev started in 2013 and just released in Sept 2025. I think it does a fantastic job of feeling like a sequel. Stages are fun and there's a lot of secrets everywhere. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7RH...

Played through MadWorld. Its sister game to me is something like Lolipop Chainsaw, or House of the Dead Overkill (featured on the back of the instruction manual). A delight of a game that encourages the absurd. Steve Blum was a great Jack Caymen.

Order has been restored. Caught up to where I left off in Ghost Babe of Dimension on the new PC. Jump King on sale $5 on Steam again by the way.
