Another AT Protocol app wanting full access to all my PDS data
If my PDS is supposed to hold all the data for a plethora of AT-driven apps, permissions like this aren't good enough

Yeah. And I just want one (1) day to go by without me having to find out that a person I respect and appreciate gives in to and reposts the absolute and utter FUD around this. Just one. Not being constantly angry about everything all the time is starting to feel very lonely.
Remember GamerGate? Yeah it's like that but for people who use NixOS
I think if you're at the point at which you've added curl to your list of slopware, you've lost touch with what's important in life
Oooooh, gute Genesung! #hexenschuss
Really enjoyed "Hoppers" and the little nod to how it's set in another big Pixar movie's universe <3
I went through the school of Cloud Atlas the Movie. I can take it
Harsh, but that's why we love you
Hey, you leave politics out of my white savior incel power fantasy about the power of blood right, a caste of enlightened übermenschen, and ugly little goblins that control all the world's money!
"Now replace the purple background with a fountain of blood". The image is a twisted version of the Chatto logo, grinning wickedly, human organs littered everywhere, a fountain of blood erupting from the chatto cat box thing
"...and semen" The same image, but the red fountain of blood has been changed to white. Sigh
"I don't like where this is going. Please make it happy before I get booted off the service." The image is still the same, but every single element of it has been turned into a joyful happy version: smiling anime-style human organs, a brain with a little pink ribbon, all of it covered by the, err, "white blood"
I think someone forgot to put the safeguards on Gemini's image generation
Surprised that you can't ship plain old rules files in Claude Code plugins?! Huh!
Ironically their German spell and grammar checker on Android is actually quite solid (the one that's built into the OS, not necessarily the autocorrect provided by GBoard)
That's a long and very frustrating story
Google wanting to correct "möglicher Weise" to "möglicherWeise"
I pay €60 for Google Workspaces every month
I accidentally a company
That you're reposting Yegge of all people is extremely funny. I still love you

Some fun semantics in this one.
Well, you better get ready for some death threats from angry teenagers
The "bike trip" meme. Guy trips himself over on his bike, then says "The CI failures are unrelated to our changes."

It's wild, because I barely know anyone *without* a landline! In Germany you can't even get Internet without one, it's usually just a matter of plugging in a phone.
Maybe I'm missing a uniquely American perspective in the discussion around that product, but here the kids just pick up the (landline) phone and call their friends (on their landline numbers) and that's it. Do I live in a weird bubble?
Me, vibe coding
Wait, that's *exactly* what it looks like
Just an incredible thread of tech people rediscovering... land line telephony. (And of course there's a product that simulates it via WiFi.)
Slidev (which is awesome) with some... custom bits
I need to rethink my life and also quite possibly how I make slides for conference talks
Certainly not as long as everything is public :p
Ah, so it's essentially up to the PDS implementations to handle this at the rate/size limiting level and then eventually ban me and delete my data?
