Forest should still win more points than Spurs who look doomed

Absolutely

It would have made a big difference. He would have lost by 3 bike lengths instead of 5

Interesting you mention Poulidor. Like you suggest, that's one reason why Wout is so popular. Poulidor also won a lot, but has been painted as something he really wasn't

A great ride and that Spurs result was welcome. Even better if Man U lose tonight

An extraordinary Roubaix...
Record speed
No break
Tons of punctures but relatively few crashes (right ratio)
Pogi on a Boris bike
MVDP on Jasper's pedals
Tibor's wheel change
Tim van Dijke is Mick van Dijke
Pogi's chase, Wout's chase, Mathieu's CHASE
The final lap
Wout wins

I must have watched 30 or more reels like this. Every one takes you back to the velodrome. I can’t ever remember a mass outpouring of joy like this when a rider has won a race.

Tour Tracker's live coverage

As I did for Flanders & Itzulia, I'll be providing live updates on the Tour Tracker app during Roubaix. It's a great way to follow all of the season's big races. The all-bells-and-whistles option is just $14 a year –about £11/€12 – and it comes without ads. Check it out at www.thetourtracker.com

Shades of the 1950s/60s when locals/mayors wanted the cobbles covered with tarmac as they thought the roads made the region look like it was living in the past. They almost killed off the race entirely then

I thought it worked well as a whole weekend of racing. I don't get this at all

Hard to see past pogacar at the moment. You?

A 20yo wins the final stage and a 19yo wins the GC, points, mountains and, naturally, the young rider competitions. Quite a week at Itzulia Basque Country. I’d almost forgotten that it’s Roubaixs tomorrow

I’m pretty sure he was unfazed by it

I gave up my L'Equipe sub a while back during some financial restructuring. Suspect their cycling coverage is going to become a lot more prominent now though

just had a look back at that race - Asgreen was 3rd! There was one mountain stage. Still, I do remember it did seem remarkable that a 20yo had won a race at that level

The team have said he likely will. Hard to wait given his nationality and form

It was a performance to get the French frothing, staggering to see

1 week ago 2 0 0 0

That was a staggering performance. Everyone was raving about Pogačar when he was 4th in the Tour of Slovenia, a 2.1 race, at almost exactly the same age. This kid's wiping the floor with the whole bunch at one of the toughest week-long events on the calendar. The whole of France will be out in July

This week, Brexit finally killed our family business. We cleared out our warehouse, handed back the keys, paid the final bills and said goodbye to our last employee.
What was once a thriving firm died a slow, sad death, all thanks to Farage, Johnson and the gullible idiots they conned. 1/18

Fully agree with this, MVDP didn’t dither, the others did. He made his experience count
