Men, We Need to Talk About "Rape Academy" This isn’t about women. This is about us. And it’s long past time we had this conversation

This article is for men.

In just the past few weeks: a wife murdered. A community leader killed. Multiple women alleging assault from another congressman. A survivor died by suicide. "Rape Academy" has 140 million visits in two months.

The pattern is horrifying, and the solution starts with us.

Hey, listen, Hollywood -- wacky idea, but maybe just maybe the key here is to make cool original stories because they sure seem to do well. If only there was an entire REALM of cool books by very cool authors you could use as the bedrock of those original stories. If only. *stares* *stares harder*

wouldn't it be funny if EVERYONE blocked this Attie AI account @ bsky.app/profile/atti... before they could do anything with it

A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all

My out-of-print historical mystery, THE CAGED GRAVES, is now available as a Kindle book for $3.99 or free to read via KU. My story is fictional, but the caged graves are real and located in an abandoned cemetery in Catawissa, PA. I am so happy to have this book out again!

Oliver Twist. It was given to me by friends of my parents who had no children and didn’t know what was appropriate for my age. I read it three times over several years before I completely understood it.

Doctors say that most serious childhood diseases are caused by viruses. A guy who eats dogs and snorts cocaine off toilet seats says they are caused by radiation from 5G cell phone towers. For a busy parent, it can be hard to know who to trust.

All the indie authors who use AI for their covers because “what am I supposed to do, I can’t afford an artist” would probably have a melt down if artists did paintings and had AI write books to go with the paintings.

Anyway, shout out to indie authors who have really bad photoshop covers.

there's literally no government function they're not illegally tearing down.. the USPS cannot run out of money any more than the pentagon can run out of money. I know dems refuse to multitask but this should be in their talking points, don't automatically accept the big lie

I'm so proud of her beautiful voice. It was a remarkable show that made me forget (a little) how much I disliked the book. I loved the actors and their performances. But it was a lot to handle in a week were I also had to put down a beloved cat. Lots of big feelings in lots of directions. 💔 2/2

As a young teen, I read Little Women, was devastated by Beth's death, and hated the book thereafter. Today I went to see Little Women: The Musical. (I had to. My daughter was playing Beth.) I laughed. I cried. I came home and cried some more. So much talent on stage. My daughter was perfect. 1/

Farewell to my special, goofy, orange boy. There was no warning. He went from perfectly healthy to ridden with aggressive cancer so fast. He was only seven. I already miss my buddy.

It wasn't "cancel culture" when women and people of color got used up, silenced, and dismissed before their careers even began. It only became "cancel culture" when powerful abusers started having established careers momentarily inconvenienced by revelations of what they'd done.

14 months ago, we said goodbye to a beloved 11-y.o. cat. We tried so hard to save her, we waited too long, watching her waste away.

This week our 7 y.o. cat was diagnosed with an aggressive, fatal cancer. We moved more quickly to give him peace ... and tomorrow is the day.

But it hurts. 💔 Merlin

I am incredibly disgusted with Senator Fetterman here in Pennsylvania. Several years ago, my daughter interned for Governor Wolf as part of her undergraduate studies. She met and liked Fetterman. She said he was a good guy.

Either she was naive, or he has drastically changed. What a disgrace.

it’s also all related. the men who traffic children with impunity are the same ones who start wars, bomb schools, support genocide, ignore laws, shirk taxes, beat their wives and children, and steal every dollar they can from the people. it’s all an expression of the same belief: no one else matters

What's to think about? The current GOP is basically S.P.E.C.T.R.E from the James Bond franchise. They aren't conservative, they aren't small-government advocates, they aren't pushing Christian values. They consistently behave like organized crime. We don't need to be surprised by this anymore.

Can anyone explain Hulu's "choose your ad experience" trend? It's super annoying, but I can, at least, understand Hulu asking viewers to better target their advertising. But for the life of me, I can't understand forcing viewers to choose between two ads for the SAME product. Explain?

a truly creative and scientific explanation and a satisfying ending! If Lindelof et al had asked @peterclines.com to write them out of the hole they'd dug themselves into with LOST, there wouldn't be a bunch of resentful viewers who still fantasize about hanging them in effigy. 2/2

Just finished GOD'S JUNK DRAWER by @peterclines.com and wow, what a satisfying read! It's Land of the Lost meets LOST. I don't know if it will surpass 14 as my favorite Cline novel, but it's close! No matter how many times it seems to jump the shark, it all comes together with 1/
