There's a yellow roller mark that I couldn't fully remove from this run, so I've discounted the riso print.

I easily completed “The Michael Phenomenon” (228 Minutes , 10 🍿) tonight and would have been prepared in advance if @vfa-expert.bsky.social was actually interested in giving movie recommendations!

Any true blue movie buff would have already happily completed their weekly screening of these classics before viewing. Gregg knows this, obviously.

Bone Dry (2007)

The image shows a scene with a decorated city. The city is assembled in layers with arches, bridges and stairs. The buildings are decorated with windows resembling stained glass and there are mosaics on some walls. Behind the city there are imaginary flying vehicles and a kite. In the center of the artwork there's a wall with mosaics and stained glass and a large bow pulled by two blue herons. There's a fountain in front of the wall with a sculpture of two open hands and a heron sitting on it. The middle ground shows a floor decorated with small tiles and various characters participating in different activities. There's a girl walking on the parapet near the water. A possum drinking from a cup on the table. Two ladies sitting at another table holding cups in their hands. A woman in a large hat walking with umbrella in her hand. On the right side there's a young man playing violin while sitting on the parapet. A knight riding a horse and a woman sitting in the boat. In the center of the artwork there's a young couple running towards a vacant boat. There are swans and lilies in the water. The artwork is mostly pink and lilac with some pops of yellow, green and blue.

The Coruscating Palace

Finally finished this piece. This one took me the longest time to complete, but I felt good once it was done. This piece is a commission for a scenery sticker that will be released later this year!

Full red background movie poster for Stagecoach, a 1986 Western adventure film. Featured on the poster are actors Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash. All three men are in Western hats. Kristofferson is brandishing a revolver, has a rifle strapped to his back, and 2 magazines of bullets- 1 at his hip and another draped over his shoulder. Breaking the full red background is a slit of white with a silhouette of a the stagecoaches from the film being followed by an “Apache” tribe.

Most of the sequence was animated completely by David Silverman as he wanted it to look exactly as he had imagined it.
