when i got 99 slayer i still had like ~10-15m melee exp to get even after i was bursting defensively (i dont remember the exact number because when i realised 99 slayer wasnt going to get me max combat i just did strength and then went back to slayer)

you actually arent though. fastest experience in slayer is going to be from magic. so youll get lots of hp and magic, maybe ranged, but your melees will lag behind a lot because you will only use those for slow tasks which you want to avoid as much as possible

usually people arent doing crabs/nmz when theyre sitting down to actively grind the game, theyre doing it when they are paying attention to something else. in that scenario its either "no exp or afk exp", not "afk exp or fast exp", and the afk exp is too high

yes, the fastest xp/hr is always going to be the most active one. but the amount of reward you get for so little effort and attention for a method like nmz or crabs is extremely unbalanced

usually there is something you can do with these two stats to calculate "effective hp" and youd just use the higher one but the formula is always different per game
