I recently joined Gotham Bat Conservancy on a bat walk in Prospect Park and learned all about the incredible comeback story of the long-maligned NYC bat. Since 2007, a deadly fungus has wiped out much of our local bat population. But a passionate community of bat lovers is helping them recover 🦇❤️

At Lehman College in the Bronx, 100s of people have packed the auditorium to rally for Gov. Hochul to pass taxes on the wealthy.

Bernie Sanders will be speaking shortly, but first local DSA electeds are warming up the crowd.

Hochul has remained opposed to tax increases during budget negotiations.

If you read one piece about Snowball-gate make it this piece, because it gets at the heart of what Mayor Mamdani cannot avoid for much longer—a direct confrontation with the NYPD, or admitting that the elected leader of NYC has no power over it.
